We've just returned from Rome where we had a 3 night stay at Caravel Hotel. Staff is really nice and helpful, provided us all the information we requested; very polite; We found our room to be very new and modern; clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, there's ham (prosciutto) and cheese, sweets, juice etc. We made our... More

I've just returned from a long weekend in Rome and found my stay at Hotel Caravel a pleasure. It's 2 miles from the colosseum (although you can walk it is along a dual carriage-way and so not the nicest walk), the bus stop to the city centre is right outside and the metro station is 15 minutes walk away. The... More

The hotel has just been renewed. Rooms are elegant, spacious (compared to Roman standard) and well equipped. The only problem about the room has been the high temperature. At the end of october, outside was surprisingly more than 27, and inside the AC was switched off. We had to fight with hot temperature all the night long, since opening windows... More

The attention of Mr. Angel is excellent. It is a very nice person. But there is a tall man of glasses that is unbearable. It seems to be discriminative with people. The hotel is very modern, very nice, very clean but does not have WI-FI!!. I can not believe that a hotel of these features do not have that service.... More

Stayed at Hotel Caravel for 4 nights in September 2012. They were having some major renovations done at the time, but it didn't have an effect on our stay- noisy work was carried out during the day, so we were out anyway. Room and bathroom were nice, comfortable and modern- very simple but contemporary decor. Had a balcony room, and... More

We stayed here on our 3-days trip to Rome, we booked a 3 bed room. Though the hotel is under construction, they are doing refurbishing, making it from old to new, it's not disturbing at all. They are not working, making noise on the weekend and on weekdays they start only at 9 in the morning, so you won't be... More

Breakfast - good, u can choose from cerial, sandwiches, yougurt, milk, cake, juice, coffe, tea, water etc. Hotel a bit old fashioned. also only one lift (for 8 floor hotel), ~1.5km to... More

My sister an i arrived on Christmas Day, we were a bit early and as always the room would only be ready at 14H00, The receptionist on duty was not very friendly, in fact the only receptionist who was friendly and very helpful was one we woke up at 3AM to open the door for us after we had got... If you are happy with a basic hotel, then this may suit you. Rooms are adequate but dated - noise from other rooms invades. Minibar empty apart from two small bottles of mineral water. Bathroom supplies minimal. Breakfast is fairly ordinary. Located out of the main tourist area, you have to bus into the city (can be complicated at the... More
