My wife and I recently spent four nights at Hotel Lord Byron and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated in a very quiet residential district close to the Borghese Gardens. The tranquil location provides an excellent oasis away from the tourist areas of the city. We enjoy walking so being able to walk through the peaceful environment of... More

not sure that it should be classed as a 5 star hotel .... 4 star without question. Very quiet location and need to take a taxi to get to any of the centres of Rome (yes there are more than one centre) ..... Taxi between 7 - 8 Euros to Vatican or Trevi Fountain. Breakfast is (just) OK but service... More

A small, very stylish 5 star hotel on the edge of Borghese Park just a 10 minute stroll to Flamini piazza; then another 5 minutes to the centre of Rome and most shops/attractions such as the Spanish Steps. The staff are wonderful and help in every way possible. Andrea, the concierge has great English and can arrange everything from the... More

The Lord Byron is an incredibly unique property, and a stunning example of Italian early Art Deco design. Located in the quiet (and slightly off the beaten path) neighbourhood of Parioli, the hotel feels like a luxurious private villa. All of the public spaces (the lobby, bar, and dining room in particular) have been restored perfectly and decorated in fabulous... More

The hotel is elegant and cozy, however the best thing about this hotel are its staff - from the front desk/concierge, bellmen, to the chambermaid--very friendly and warm and they accommodated our many requests and inquiries. Another "best thing" about this hotel was the complimentary non-alcoholic drinks from the mini bar and WiFi. Although this seems like a minor thing,... More

We just returned from spending eight nights at this hotel; I cannot say enough about the FANTASTIC service and charm and even location of this hotel. Upon our arrival, the gentleman at the reception mentioned that he hoped we would feel at home during our stay, and we certainly did. Our family celebration could NEVER have been as wonderful without... More

My wife and I spent three nights here as part of a recent 20th wedding anniversary trip to Italy and were very pleased with our choice. Located on the north side of the Villa Borghese, it is an oasis of calm and quiet slightly outside the chaos that can be Rome. Don't let the location deter you, though, as a... More

here's a strange one. Its in all the luxury guides and Relais & Chateau and what not. It talks a good talk, the lobby is nice, the staff friendly enough, but at the end of the day, you are left with a strange feeling of not having got enough out of it. First, lets be clear, the location is not... More

Well appointed rooms with quality decor, well maintained, clean, first class staff, quiet elegant residential location, good breakfasts. If you need to be sure of a good experience for you and your guest(s) this is a safe choice. Particularly enjoyed the modern art museum as it was a short walk on our last morning and was surprisingly good. Book Villa... More
