I came to Rome for just one meeting on Friday, and stayed on until Sunday. I love Trastevere and I do know it inside out, and a friend pointed me to Casa di Santa Francesca. I have been to Rome many times, I used to come and teach here, so I almost always rented apartments in Trastevere. From now on,... More

With a group of 14 teenagers and 10 adults this was a great location; easy to get to everything and using almost any form of transport wanted. Rooms were clean, but way over-heated; we slept with the windows wide open each night in the middle of a very cold January. No tea mking facilities but staff very willing to boil... More

I booked early and paid 90 Euros/night for a single. When they lowered their rate, I could not get it. I wanted to stay in the Trastevere neighborhood (west of the Tiber River) and was intrigued by the photos of this hotel. I enjoyed my four nights there, but drawbacks existed. I was disappointed by a lack of view from... More

I stayed here in mid-November and took advantage of their low-season offer; Euros 50 per night for a single room. At this price it is astonishingly good value - the rooms are small but warm and quiet in winter. Bed was hard and rather narrow. Breakfast is Italian-style, with bread, croissants, an enormous sponge cake and a jam tart of... More

Right in the middle of Trastaverde, which is a great neighborhood of Rome. Lots of locals there. Place was very good, safe, and clean. Bathroom was small, but how much time are you going to spend there? Bed was minimal, but featured a Virgin Mary above it... Staff was very helpful, and we got a massive (MASSIVE) key. Seriously, it... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in June. It is not worth the price. I booked 6months in advance, and got a rate of 129. Their rate for two weeks in advance was 90! And they would not honor the revised rate. The wifi, advertised but not working. The shower, so small you cannot touch your feet. And no public... More

The Casa di Francesca Romana was the final stay for my students and me after an intensive academic trip. It was a very good place to stay for location, quiet, safety and the staff. I would stay here again in the future. A few things could have been better, though. We expected WiFi, which was broken indefinitely; they were out... More

Casa Santa Francesca Romana was a most enjoyable experience. It is located in a delightful neighbourhood of Rome. We could walk along the river to the Vatican in 20 min. It is safe, clean and quiet. It is basic with a good breakfast. Very clean with a very good location, within walking distance to all main attractions

Also known as Casa Santa Francesca Romana al Ponte Rotto, this guest house is located in Trastevere, which has to be my favorite neighborhood in Rome. The guest house is surrounded by excellent restaurants (places actual Romans eat, not watered down places that cater to tourist palates) and lively streets. The rooms themselves are very basic, but that is not... More

Also known as Casa Santa Francesca Romana, this guest house specializes in catering to pilgrimage groups. It's in a former 16th century palazzo, converted to a convent, and now converted to guest housing & run by a secular institution. Don't worry - everyone is welcome. You don't have to be religious or on a pilgrimage, just a traveler looking for... More
