We stayed for just one night but really enjoyed Relais Maddalena. It was an authentic Italian stay. Relais Maddalena is situated in the beautiful Piazza Maddalena. The accommodation is over two floors which is only accessed by stairs. It is a stunning old building with rooms that are spotless, modern and charming. Our room overlooked the Piazza and you could... Incredible location, incredible breakfast, incredible room and incredible service. When in Rome, you must stay here. 1 block from Pantheon and in the center of it all. My wife and I spent the first 3 nights of our honeymoon here and were extremely pleased with our choice. AMAZING!!!!

We stayed at the Relais Maddalena for four days in late March. The hotel is funky and charming, and somehow sophisticated all at the same time. Not a bad combination. The hotel occupies two floors of a very old building located on the Piazza Maddalena. We were a bit leary about how this would work, but we are here to... More

Relais Maddalena would be an outstanding hotel in any part of Rome, but its central location makes it even more of a gem. The staff is outstanding, making sure that you have all that you need, friendly without being overbearing. They are very helpful in finding restaurants, shops, routes to destinations, really whatever you might want. Our room was very... More

I had a wonderful two night stay at the Relais Maddalena/Monnalisa in March. The hotel is set on the lovely Piazza Maddalena, opposite a stunning church and only a 1-minute walk from the Pantheon. There are plently of restaurants, shops and gelaterias nearby (make sure you try the passionfruit gelati at the Gelateria Della Palma around the corner, it was... More

Visiting Rome is since more than 2,000 years a fight against stereotypes. Roma, the capital of Italy, home of nearly 3 million people, center of the Catholic church is something different from mythical Rome where Audrey Hepburn rides with Gregory Peck on a Vespa through black-and-white scenery or hundreds of other films, poems and memories. Visiting Rome and live for... More

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was large and spotlessly clean with a huge comfortable bed. Complimentary Mini fridge/bar was a lovely addition. Great shower with loads of hot water. Quiet room with a great view. Wifi excellent. We looked forward to breakfast every day. There was lots of delicious food to choose... More

It's not very often you discover a place in the heart of a major tourist area that makes you feel at home. But Relais Maddalena is the place in the great old city of Rome for us. As long as they have the same wonderful staff and standards we will never stay anywhere else when we visit the city. We... More

We spent 11 lovely days in Rome thanks in part to the terrific location of the Maddalena, and to the charming staff that keeps all running smoothly. Francesco, Francesca, Anastasia and Andrea are a delightful team always ready to assist. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and when something blinks out, as do tv's when there is an electrical... More
