Thanks to Alessandro (the most friendly host I've ever met) we had marvelous holiday in Rome. Everyday room service and delicious breakfast made our stay comfortable and pleasant. The location of the B&B is just perfect: next to the train and metro stations, 2km from Coliseum and a historic centre of Rome. We took a great pleasure to walk there... More

If a B&B could be awarded 5 stars then Alessandro and his Inn should be first in line. Alessandro was very helpful before we arrived, he replied quickly to any e-mails and helpfully booked some local restaurants for our first few nights. He was outside the apartment building to greet us and take us up to our rooms. The rooms... More

Our stay at the Althea Inn during our recent visit to Roma was wonderful. The rooms were clean and well appointed and, as mentioned in other reviews, the terrace was the crowning glory. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and fell in love with beautiful Roma as I'm sure every visitor does. The many courtesies of Alessandro and his small staff added... More

We would definately recomend this lovely place. The rooms were spotless, nicely decorated and very comfortable. And the terrace just made it. We had breakfast out there with our friends on their terrace as it was bigger (we had the middle room and it was as nice but a little smaller), served on a tray with particular attention to detail,... What a retreat to have every time we came back to our room, and to start and end each day. Rome can be very busy, and this terrace was a lovely, quiet, flower-and-sun filled sanctuary. I'm pretty sure it made the cappuccini and the wine taste that much better - and they were pretty darn good to start! The rooms... More

Amazing place. I am trevelling around the world and i can say that the services provided by the owner are purely above the majority of 5 starts hotels : breakfast in bed, the room and the terrace is so nice, and above this the transportation from here is perfect : direct train from Fiumicino airport, metro to entire city near,... My husband and I booked our stay in the Althea Inn on the strength of the many positive reviews. We were not disappointed! Alessandro is an attentive host and he has created a comfortable oasis in easy reach of the sights and centre of Rome. We have no hesitation in giving a positive recommendation.

This was a great place to stay for many reasons. Alessandro, the proprietor, is attentive and very helpful. He provided directions to local spots of interest as well as practical information about when it was best to visit. He made our dinner reservations for us at a local neighborhood restaurant. We experienced some trouble with our banks and he went... More

We stayed here for a long weekend and really couldn't fault it in any way. We had a corner room which I would really recommend - it was perfect for breakfast and for lazing in the sun on after a day of sight seeing. The breakfast is lovely - fresh and filling, the perfect set up for the day and... More
