We stayed in this B&B in November.... Location was very close to the vatican and walking distance to most of the sites in Rome. David was an excellent host. Although he was not available onsite.. he does come in once a day and is readily available by phone anytime. He did give us some very good tips and information. We... More

Absolutely fantastic place. Lovely flat with very large bedroom and nice bathroom. Shared kitchen stocked up with food and drink! Everything you need. The location is brilliant, nice streets all around, very safe and secure with the vatican a 5 minute walk down the main road! Also right next to the metro and getting from the airport to the flat... Fizzy drinks??? Where did you find those we didn't supply them? Hey guys, Thanks for the awesome review! Sorry to hear that you found the restaurants nearby expensive, did you tell them you were staying at our's as I told you to as they tend to look after our guests a little bit better as many of our guests do... My husband and I chose Gli Scipioni B&B based on the reviews here and the location. We found that it exceeded our expectations in so many ways. David and his staff go above and beyond to ensure their guests are comfortable. The place is immaculate and a well stocked kitchen is provided for the guests use anytime. Coffee, juice pastries... The location was great- not too far from the Vatican and you can get anywhere quickly (albeit my metro). The rooms were HUGE compared to others we encountered in Italy. The decor was modern and upbeat (Ikea-like). Not a traditional B&B- instead of a set breakfast time, there is a kitchen fully stocked with any food or drink you could... More

We spent 3 nights at Gli Scipioni 11-27 to 11-30. As others have said the location is excellent, pretty much within walking distance of many sights and the metro is right nearby. David greeted us warmly even though our arrival was later than we had expected. He went over everything in detail and answered all our questions. He has enough... More

We stayed at Gli Scipionio for three nights and couldn't have been happier. Excellent value for money, and the location is perfect - 5 mins from the Vatican, the metro and no more than 30mins' walk from any of Rome's main attractions. The room is fairly basic, but immaculately clean. Breakfast is self service, with more than enough food provided.... More

For our pre-cruise night we decided to stay in Rome at Gli Scipioni B&B. This was just the beginning of a wonderful time that we were about to have. The location couldn't be more perfect, walking distance to the Vatican, St Peters Square and Basilica, and practically to most of the city center attractions (which we walked). Metro station was... All the reviews that comment on David's fantastic customer service and attention to detail are totally correct. He explained where to go, how to get there, how to avoid tourist traps etc. The accommodation was perfect, loved the robe and slippers to wear while we were there. The all-day breakfast and the variety were great. I liked the area as... More

We enjoyed our stay in this B&B a lot because of the friendly and helpfull owner /staff and because the accomadation was excellent; well equiped and very quiet at night (remember, this is the centre of Rome, so...). Sure we will come back if we visit Rome again. So highly recommended. Thanks David & Carlo. Take care, René & Paul More
