A casa di penelope is a hotel in a building of apartments, which is not bothering. The rooms are new, simple and modern. There was an everyday cleaning of the room. The location is great just a few minutes from terministation. The rooms are clean and had a good airconditioning. But you can here the neighbours very good! More

From Termini we had direct access to all trains and buses which was great. As mentioned below - this is an appartment turned into a hostel. The rooms are simple (IKEA-style) but they have a good air-con and a new, clean bath. Having a dust-alergy I strongly prefer places w/o carpets - which is the case here. Unfortunately, no kitchen... Casa Di Penelope is very closed to everywhere, you can stay safely, fontana di trevi is just one station with metro, you can go to spanish steps with metro from the hotel, piazza di venezia is just 3 station with bus, it's easier to prefer bus in termini, you need roma pass for bus but our roma pass doesn't work... It is very spartan. WiFi available in the hallways and in some rooms. Quiet street, close to the train station. The cafe voucher was nice. More

We had booked one night in this 'hotel' and when we eventually found it we were ushered through two security, prison like gates (not shown in any of the pictures) up a dodgy flight of stairs and into a toilet cubicle sized reception area filled with clutter and cleaning equipment.
