A clean B&B, with a gentle staff, close to the Vatican and close to public transport connections (bus, Metro, Train) The bathroom is not spacius, but the shower is okay. New towels everyday. The staff is most helpfull with all things, suggestions for visits etc. They do the utmost for your pleasant stay. Wonderfull location for visiting the Vatican and... More

I have never submitted a review on Tripadvisor but found the site so helpful in planning our trip I feel obligated to do so and help others that follow. So I'll be posting reports on the various restaurants, sights, etc. but I want to start off with the highlight of the trip, Alessandro III. We stayed here from 9/6-9/13, occupying... More

We stayed in this B&B for one week. This B&B was a perfect location from which we could discover the Vatican and Rome. Next to that the staff is quit helpfull and gentle. You can ask for suggestion for dinner and for visit.

I was referred to this place the week before my trip and what a blessing it was! Raffaele & his uncle, Giuliano have done a great job inside this wonderful, storied building. While small (3 rooms), it's clean, comfortable and literally a 5 minute walk to St. Peter's Basilica... and that's if you're walking slowly! Also, breakfast is light, but... More

Just two nights in Rome at this great inexpensive b&b. Very close to the Vatican (5 min easy walk), which puts you a bit away from the other major sites - but then again it's away from the noisy touristy areas. The father and son who run it were very friendly and helpful. Can't vouch for the breakfast because we... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. The location was excellent - merely a few minutes walk (5 at most) from St Peter's Square, handy for the 64 bus stop to and from Termini, but quiet and peaceful at night, ensuring we slept well in our air conditioned room. The en suite room was spotless, breakfast was simple but sufficient, and... More

We chose the Alessandro III B&B because of its proximity to St. Peter's Basilica. (We had 9 a.m. Scavi tickets, so wanted to be nearby). It was a wonderful choice ... Clean, comfortable, convenient, and economical, in a nice neighborhood. Raffaele and Giuliano are wonderful hosts, warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

We had an outstanding time staying here. Rafaelle and his father went beyond the call of duty in helping us get into the Borghese Gallery. Great room, great breakfast.

Raffaele, the owner, was a very good host and ready to provide advice on everything from parking, tours, restaurants etc.. We arrived late and Raffaele was there to welcome us. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. We spent two nights there and will do so in the future! Location is perfect for visiting the Vatican,

My wife and i stayed at this B&B a block away from St. Peter square and had the vacation of our lives. The personal attention we received from owners Raphaele and his farher Guliano made our 10 day stay a wonderful first international travel experience. They both gave us great tips on what to see, when to see it and... More
