It is not permitted to smoke in Italian hotels. When I asked for a different room because the room I was given smelled of smoke, I was told " no problem just open the window". This was a problem because it does not get rid of smoke smell and it was 50 degrees out. Other than that "no problem".

Being at the historic center was great. We enjoyed it. A hotel on the two floors of a residential building is a little bit weird, though. It was cold during our stay and AC was not enough. Maybe it was because of my sudden illness. Hotel is just across the University building.

The hotel is situated in the university area and thus it is in a safe and quiet neighborhood yet just in the middle of the old town. Stayed there more than a week. Rooms are small but so is the price too. The beds were comfortable and rooms very clean and beautiful. No voices from the streets, which is almost incredible in the center. But, as normally in italia, the voices from other rooms may disturb. Location is eccelent. Staff very very helpful.
