We have just returned from a weekend staying in Hostal Palma 61 (there are other hostel's in this building). We had the basic double room en-suite for 45 euros a night and it was extremely clean and just what was needed. We had clean towels every day and although the furniture was dated and basic it was perfectly adequate and... More

Good points: excellent value for money, very clean, the room on the backyard is very quiet, good wifi connection, close to the city centre, even if the district itself is uneventful. Bad points: the heating/air condition system can't be adjust by the customer but only through the reception. Very uncommon and strange: you have a command box in the room... More

This hostel is more like a hotel with 4 stars than a regular hostel. I was very pleasantly surprised when I entered the room. Furniture and bathroom are brand new and very luxury and the room is a quite big. Receptionists are very nice. Do not be confused when you are entering in the building because each floor is one... I enjoyed my stay there. Hostal Jemasca is on the 3rd floor of a building with no elevator (Palma is on the 2nd floor), only a staircase. The room I had was admittedly basic: 2 beds that are unfixed to the ground, a desk, closet, tv and ensuite bathroom but it's clean, offers free wi-fi and the metro stop Noviciado... More

The nearest metro station is Noviciado, about 300 meters from the hostel. We spent about 48 euro / night for a double room with own bathroom including a simple breakfast. The room was very basic and small, the window was towards the inner court. There were just a bed, TV, small table + chair and small bathroom. At night night... More

the place is really ugly outside the building ( garbage on the pavement, scratched and written walls...) but in the center of malasana. inside the building is alright, it's not an hotel is just rooms for rent. you have to reach the 2nd floor with no elevator. the hostal is ok, even the 'superior room' is really basic...if you want... ...one is new and renovated (Jemasaca), the other like a guest house in a private, old-fashioned property (Palma 61). You check-in in the renovated hotel and may be carted down to Palma 61 for your room. Disappointment past, the rooms (although old-fashioned) are very comfortable and have en-suite bathrooms if you request one. They are basic but clean and the... More

We stayed here for my husband's birthday, after finding a great deal. Our flight didn't arrive until 10pm, and it was almost 11:30pm before we actually got to the hostal. The map showed it was located on a side street, and we saw that the bars were starting to get busy. This meant we had chosen a decent and popular... More

The most important hostal in the center, but in a small street not too traffic. Grand via 3-minute walk. The entire center is available also on foot. Free internet, clean rooms, towels and bedding changed regularly. Friendly staff with knowledge of English, the safe area.
