The hostel is in a great central location and very easy to get to from the bus station. The hostel staff recommended several excellent bars and we ended up trying some new things, including "beberechos" (tiny clams), which were amazing. The room and the bathroom (we got an ensuite room) were clean and having a little television in the room... More

We chose Pensión Las Rías as it looked modern, clean, a good location and excellent value for money - we were not disappointed. Unfortunately there was a mix up with the bookings and even though we booked several months in advance, we were informed a couple of days before our trip that we would be downgraded to a standard room.... I was visiting friends in la coruna and spent the first night in this pension - as per the below reviews Erica was very kind, welcoming and friendly. Wifi worked a treat. Room was exactly what I expected from a quality pension. As I stayed longer, I then moved to the other pension Erica and her husband own called Carbonara... More

A great little place to stay. Erika was most helpful, and extremely accommodating. I have learned not to expect tea making facilities when abroad - so I had a very pleasant surprise to find a kettle and tea and coffee in my superior double room. There are a couple of things to note however: My lovely room was at the... More

Erika is so lovely and her recommendations are spot on. She steered us to a great meal and don't miss the toast in the little place right outside on the square with the orange sides. It really might be the best toast ever.

The location of the hotel is very good (facing a small plaza) and the accommodations are cheerful, basic and scrupulously clean, great for people on a budget who don't require luxury. A Coruna is a lovely Galician town, easily overlooked by travelers, with great beaches and an interesting "old town." The proprietor/manager, Erica, made all the difference for us. She... More

My husband and I stayed at this pension for two nights. The location is fantastic, very close to the beach, old town, restaurants, etc. The owners are lovely, and extremely helpful with directions, recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The only negative was our room was in the front of the building, and on the Saturday night it was... More

Bright cheerful rooms, lovely friendly helpful staff, convenient location and inexpensive. Coruna is a wonderful city with a great long city beach and corniche, lovely country parks at either end of the beach and another one further out that I haven't visited yet, very grand city square and plenty of good bars and restaurants. The pension has good eccomendations.
