Stayed at the Melia Sitges for a short vacation in September. The hotel was scrupulously clean, and housekeeping did a great job in our room. The bed was massive and really comfortable, an absolute fantastic sleep every night. The room has the usual comforts like stocked mini bar, coffee maker, safe, ironing board, and kettle. The balcony was great, furnished with table and chairs, and it was great to sit out in the evening looking out towards the sea. The restaurant was fabulous, and the food was plentiful, replenished regularly. Chef on hand to make you fresh omlettes and waffles to your liking. A large choice of hot and cold items from fresh juices, fresh meats, fresh fruit, fresh pasteries, waffles, yoghurts, and breads everything you could possibly want. All delicious. Staff in the restaurant were professional, attentive, friendly, and very welcoming, and the housekeeping staff are really friendly and do their very best to cater to your every whim to ensure your room is perfect. The male Front of house staff stayed professional, with what van only described the nonchalant attitude. The location of the hotel is situated far left as you could go, more suited to the quiet end of Sitges. It's definitely positioned up the hill in the more residential side of Sitges. It has an abundance of apartment blocks surrounding you. Granted its walkable to the train station in approximately 25 minutes, and you could easily reach the main hustle and bustle of the town in 40 minutes or so, great for walking down to the town for your evening strolls and walking back up the hill afterwards. For info, there is another Melia hotel called the Sitges ME Terramar on the other side of the beach, which is more like a vibrant 5* hotel. This particular hotel is predominantly beach location with atmosphere. This hotel we have stayed is more suited to guests, preferring the quiet life. This is just our personal opinion as some guests do prefer total relaxation and tranquillity, and this hotel does just that. Fantastic power shower. We did have niggles, the WiFi throughout our stay was sporadic. The staff on reception showed little interest to help in this instance. The air conditioning in the room was not as cool as you would expect. Maintenance attempted to make adjustments but to no avail. Again, staff showed little interest in getting it resolved. This hotel does have many large indoor open spaces suited for conventions, exhibitions, and conference centres, presumably, hence how it generates lots of its income in addition to the bedrooms in low season. We probably wouldn't stay here again personally, but on reflection, it's a decent hotel apart from the niggles.…
