I have stayed in this hotel three previous times and this time I was shocked at how badly it has declined. The first room I was given was so bad I couldn't believe it existed in this hotel. It must have been the worst room in the hotel and why they gave it to me I have no idea. It was dirty, had no amenities like coffee dispenser, and there was active construction right next to it. Horrible. I didn't know rooms that bad, with different furniture etc, existed in this hotel. The carpet in the hallway outside the room was disgusting and covered in dirt, footprints, and stains. I can't believe they would let a guest see that. I asked to be moved, and they moved me (also charging me more) and the room they put me in next they said was one of their "superior" rooms. It had a terrace with a great view. But the floors were really dirty. The sheets on the bed felt like paper. There was mold in the shower and fingerprints on the walls of the bathroom. And the air conditioning was turned off in the entire hotel "because it's winter." Unfortunately there was no air flow in these tiny boxed rooms and it becomes stuffy very fast. I had to sleep with my balcony door wide open because it was uncomfortable inside (I called the front desk to fix it but she just suggested maybe the heat was on. I checked and it wasn't). Someone could easily enter my room from the balconies next door. But I had no choice, it was so uncomfortable with no sir flow at all. Very disappointed and I definitely won't be staying here again. They don't make an effort anymore. A hotel guest should never see that level.of dirt and disarray where they are staying especially when it purports to be a 4 star luxury hotel. I suggest any of the other hotels in town. Very sad The elevator from the parking garage to the lobby was broken so I had to carry my suitcase up several flights of stairs. This definitely doesn't feel like a 4-star hotel anymore.

Excellent visit from start to finish. We were able to check in early at 12:30 as room was available. Even if it handout been available confirmation email had advised you could leave luggage and use facilities such as pool until it was. Warmly welcomed, very friendly and attentive staff throughout the hotel. Room wonderful with upgraded bathrooms, large, clean, modern facilities, balcony with beautiful view of the bay of San Sebastián and church. Just fantastic. The pool area was lovely, not permitted to save sun beds so always available with padding and towels. Outdoor bar open at weekend, and able to eat drink at the pool or the indoor/outdoor Saffron restaurant which is open till midnight and offers food via room service 24 hours at very reasonable prices. Gym facilities wonderful, and overall just a fantastic experience. We had a great stay and will definitely be returning.

My wife and I stayed at the Meliá Sitges for a week over Christmas and we couldn't have been more pleased! Our pool view room terrace had a fantastic view of Sitges, along with a coffee maker, mini refrigerator and huge soft towels in the bath. We are over 60 and found the 15 minute walk to town easy and discovered we could take the L-3 bus back to the hotel from the bus stop across from the Sitges train station. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful and enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning on returning again sometime this year!

We love this hotel. This was the fourth time staying there. We enjoyed its peaceful setting, and the views from our ocean view room balcony were relaxing. It was obvious that t e hotel had been updated recently, as it had a very modern feel to it. The front desk was extremely helpful and always willing to answer questions. We included breakfast, and there were so many options to choose. The beach is nearby, and the town is a nice walk along the cliffs of the sea. We would definitely choose to stay here when we decide to visit Sitges again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in October in a basic Melia room for a company conference and came away with mixed feelings about this hotel. The good: clean room, good breakfast, comfortable bed, good shower. The bad/disappointing: dated rooms; no bottles of water provided in room; no kettle (and they wanted €10/day for the privilege of putting one in the room but they'll give you an iron and board for free - go figure the logic of that!); air conditioning that was faulty (had to be repeatedly fixed on both days); zero recognition of gold melia status. The neutral: location- depending on your point of view location could be good or bad. Hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Sitges. In October that is fine as it is not too hot. In summer it would be too far. Would I stay here again? No and mainly due to the penny-pinching attitude of wanting €10 for a kettle which left a bitter taste in my mouth. From someone who spends 100+ days a year in hotels for business never have I come across that. I'll vote with my wallet and not run back to a melia for a while.

Dear Sir, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay. We are glad to hear that you found our rooms clean, enjoyed our breakfast, and had a comfortable stay with a good shower. Our team always strives to provide the best service to our guests. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the dated rooms and the absence of a kettle in the standard Melia room. We would like to inform you that we have renovated rooms available on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors, which offer a modern and minimalistic design. As for the kettle, it is provided free of charge in our premium sea view and superior rooms. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay. We also appreciate your feedback on the air conditioning issue and will ensure that our maintenance team addresses it promptly. Regarding your Melia Gold status, we apologize if it was not recognized during your stay, and we will work on improving our recognition process for our valued members. Our hotel is located in a quiet area, just a short walk from the beach and a 15-minute walk from the lively town center. We understand that the distance may not be ideal for everyone, but we believe it offers a balance between relaxation and easy access to the vibrant city life. We would love to have you return in the future. Best regards, Guest Experience Department Meliá Sitges

Stayed at the Melia Sitges for a short vacation in September. The hotel was scrupulously clean, and housekeeping did a great job in our room. The bed was massive and really comfortable, an absolute fantastic sleep every night. The room has the usual comforts like stocked mini bar, coffee maker, safe, ironing board, and kettle. The balcony was great, furnished with table and chairs, and it was great to sit out in the evening looking out towards the sea. The restaurant was fabulous, and the food was plentiful, replenished regularly. Chef on hand to make you fresh omlettes and waffles to your liking. A large choice of hot and cold items from fresh juices, fresh meats, fresh fruit, fresh pasteries, waffles, yoghurts, and breads everything you could possibly want. All delicious. Staff in the restaurant were professional, attentive, friendly, and very welcoming, and the housekeeping staff are really friendly and do their very best to cater to your every whim to ensure your room is perfect. The male Front of house staff stayed professional, with what van only described the nonchalant attitude. The location of the hotel is situated far left as you could go, more suited to the quiet end of Sitges. It's definitely positioned up the hill in the more residential side of Sitges. It has an abundance of apartment blocks surrounding you. Granted its walkable to the train station in approximately 25 minutes, and you could easily reach the main hustle and bustle of the town in 40 minutes or so, great for walking down to the town for your evening strolls and walking back up the hill afterwards. For info, there is another Melia hotel called the Sitges ME Terramar on the other side of the beach, which is more like a vibrant 5* hotel. This particular hotel is predominantly beach location with atmosphere. This hotel we have stayed is more suited to guests, preferring the quiet life. This is just our personal opinion as some guests do prefer total relaxation and tranquillity, and this hotel does just that. Fantastic power shower. We did have niggles, the WiFi throughout our stay was sporadic. The staff on reception showed little interest to help in this instance. The air conditioning in the room was not as cool as you would expect. Maintenance attempted to make adjustments but to no avail. Again, staff showed little interest in getting it resolved. This hotel does have many large indoor open spaces suited for conventions, exhibitions, and conference centres, presumably, hence how it generates lots of its income in addition to the bedrooms in low season. We probably wouldn't stay here again personally, but on reflection, it's a decent hotel apart from the niggles.

Visited Melia Sitges for a work conference and really enjoyed my stay. Our group had a mix of regular rooms and premium rooms. I’d highly recommend spending the little extra on the premium room sea view. I had a little issue with my say and Irene Rodríguez Fortes (Guest Experience Manager) was very quick to resolve it for me. Much appreciated.

Good hotel, well located in a beautiful Sitges with its wonderful dreamy streets and lovely beaches and local people. The Hotel ticked all boxes from parking to excellent rooms and facilities, including pool. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner and the staff went out of their way to serve our needs. The hotel is good value for what you get. One gripe, one evening wasted a whole hour with the reception because out of the blue they asked me to settle my bill, really odd given they had my credit card details, this has never happened to us before in such a establishment, I can only but blame an over zealous duty manager , made us feel a little unwelcome and watched, as we were also locked out of our rooms. I hope Melia addresses such stupidity. The reception whilst very friendly was very slow.

While we made the most of our week there and enjoyed the buffet & pool our room was average. Service was good until we provided feedback about our room and reception staff became dismissive. This was an email I sent in follow up to melia.sitges@melia.com while I was staying there (13 Aug), to which we never received a reply: Hola, I hope you are having a good morning. We arrived at your hotel yesterday and are staying here for 7 nights which we booked through our travel agent, Flight Centre in Australia. The bed is very comfortable and we have a lovely pool view. However, it seems the room has been neglected for a while and doesn't seem to be at the level we would expect from a 4 star hotel. We realise not all rooms can be new however room 341 seems to have been damaged over a number of years and not repaired. I have attached some photos for you to look at and we did advise a female staff member at your reception, however, she seemed to think the room was acceptable. - the shower head fixture is loose and hard to stop water spraying all over the bathroom (see photo) - tap fittings are also loose (see photo) - multiple stains all over the carpet (see photos) - walls are marked (see photo) - terrace needs a repaint - a lot of the the furniture is damaged (see photos) - door frames are coming apart (see photos) It was also disappointing, given all of the above, to be advised that having a kettle in the room would be an additional 10 Euros per day. Please let me know if you think this is all ok so we know for next time and can pass this feedback to our travel agent. Warm regards Sam Photos below and I recommending choose your room wisely :)

I am currently staying at the hotel and can tell you the promise is kept. it is a magnificent 4* hotel with very caring staff. they did their best to find me a room with a sea view to my liking and at each request they do their best to meet my requirements. 1 recommend room 556, the view is magnificent and the room is really large. The breakfast buffet is very complete with fresh food, savory and sweet, the dinner buffet is also very varied and very good, congratulations to the chef. The swimming pool is quiet and big. The hotel is very well equipped, clean and everything is brandnew. there is parking in the hotel. very satisfied with my stay which is not yet over, I would recommand to put a "sombrilla" in the balcony because in summer it is hot so it would be great to have some shade in the balcony. will surely come back. a special thank to Irene, Gema, Faus and Natalia at the reception and Lucia the maid. Lovely staff!
