We stayed five nights in early November 2011 and based ourselves here to explore Barcelona. It was easy to get here by train from the airport, and to get around by public transport as well. The room was very clean and comfortable, cosy but not small. The bathrooms, though shared, were always in impeccable condition and we never really crossed... More

I been to the Barcelona two weeks back and stayed at this place. The place is charming and cozy. The location is near the metro and at the centre of many eateries, including the famous tapas place - Cal Pep. Rooms are made everyday. I would also like to mention that the wifi connection is poor and hindered my research... More

A beautiful house in a beautiful quarter - the location is just perfect to visit Barcelona. Marcelo and Olivier take care of you from the beginning to the end (we stayed 5 days), their proverb must be "share and give" . The house and the rooms are nicely decorated with fresh flowers and you will often find small new objects... More

We stayed at Casa De Marcelo at the end of November 2011. The Good: The entire apartment was very very clean and Marcelo and his partner were very accommodating. The location is pretty good as it is close to many fun things to see in the city. The price was fair (we paid 80 euro a night, cash only :/... More

Enjoyed our short stay. Had a fantastic time. You couldn't find a better host than Marcelo. He was most helpful and friendly.. The Born district is a lovely area to start your visit to Barcelona., also he knew all about the ALL BLACKS. If we are ever back in Barcelona we will be staying at the Casa de Marcelo again.... More

Casa de Marcelo really isn't that difficult to find. It is not, however, "right next to the Picasso museum", it's about two blocks away. The street is pedestrian only but it is right off Passeig de Colom between two main arteries, Via Laietana and Passeig de Picasso. The cab dropped us off at the street entrance. The big brown door... We loved our stay in Casa de Marcelo! Was a perfect location to enjoy the city of Barcelona. Marcelo and Olivier have put much love and attention into this perfect little Born district bed and breakfast! And their attention to details were fantastic..candles light at night when we came back, robes to use, a basket to help carry items to... More

This is a gorgeous guest house and Marcelo is a lovely and sweet person with excellent taste. The pictures don't do it justice--it really is so beautiful and relaxing and Marcelo has seen to every detail, from the candles he lights in the entry at night to the smallest decorating details in each room and anything you may need. The... More

We spent 5 nights here. We originally booked room no 5, but upon arrival this had been turned into an office space. We were instead put in room no 2. The problem with this room is that the only way to ventilate it, is by opening the window, but a drainage ventilation pipe from apartments below ends just in front... More

Felt right at home in this tastefully decorated house. Marcelo and Olivier have put a lot of thought and effort into this place, and it shows! They are great hosts and were always eager to provide directions, recommendations and assistance. The house location is great and close excellent tapas bars and restaurants, boutiques and train and metro stations. More
