You are in the heart of the pedestrian downtown! So nice. Yes, it is more hostel like. It is very home-like, not perfectly clean like a hotel. You could hear the older woman who runs it and speaks little english watch tv in the evening. Her son is very helpful and funny. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

I spent few days in San Sebastian and it was one of the best places I've ever been, both, the city and the hostel. Very clean, the best shower you'll find in your travels. A good choice :-)
