My husband and I stayed at Cuevero El Abanico for 2 nights and loved our accommodation. Consuelo was helpful in marking on the map directions and walking times plus bus numbers (which we did not need to use). The accommodation allows for self catering if you feel the need. A washing machine is available on the rooftop plus iron/ ironing... More

These cosy cave apartments are located up a hill in the gypsy quarters of Granada, and are absolutely fantastic. Spacious, nicely furnished, with all amenities you could need, including heaters and a small kitchenette. Great value for money. We intended to stay 2 nights, but ended up extending our stay. At night, we could hear Flamenco music echo among the... More

Great little caves up in the hills of Sacromonte. Lovely host, very helpful, broken english, but we managed to communicate. The cave may seem tricky to find the first time, but once you get there it's pretty easy to find your way around. There is free parking just down on the road. The cave was a little chilly at times,... More

Unforgettable stay for our family of 4 in our own private cave. Spacious, great view and lovely patio. Didn't want to leave. Hilly climb on cobblestone streets was worth it - a hidden gem. Sacromonte is a very traditional charming neighborhood .

After a long, tricky drive from Denia, through extreme rain and flooding, with a faulty GPS, finding this place was extremely difficult. However... This is a unique accommodation option that was lots of fun for the family - especially our 2 young boys. And once we had arrived our host was extremely helpful, assisting us by pointing out the local... More

When we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly staff, who showed us straight away on the map a better place to park our car close to the caves, as well as all the nice places to visit in Granada and best ways to walk there. The cave has a special atmosphere and a lovely temperature the whole year round. We... More

Echoing the other reviews, the worst part of Cuevas El Abanico is the difficulty of finding this gem. Hopefully, these reviews will encourage the owners to get a better map- the narrow streets can add to what could be a frustrating journey. My friend and I quite enjoyed the bed and breakfast feel to our stay there. Upon learning that... More

What an excellent place to stay. The cave district was unique and interesting and we loved the nearby Flamenco shows! The hosts are helpful and graciously accommodated a last minute change in our plans. I definitely recommend.

First of all, I have to admit that this place is not as convenient as staying in the town. Around the place, there is only one restaurant and a few Flamenco places. To reach the cave, you need to hike up the hills for about ten minutes. In addition, this is not a "hotel"-- more like a bed and breakfast... More

It took us some time and stress to find the caves, but what a fantastic experience is it to stay in the caves! The caves are comfortable, lovely and very clean. The Sacromonte neighbourhood is a fairytale location in autumn. Cobblestone paths, very safe and friendly neighbourhood and a nearby supermarket in a cave in combination with perfect views of...
