The atmosphere in the hostel is not completely my taste but it was ok to stay here. We were sleeping in a small 6 bed dorm room with no airco but there were big cupboards to put in your stuff. In the morning, it's cueing for the bathroom so make sure you are up early. The kitchen was poor equipped.... More

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The building itself was cool and quirky but the best part about this place is the people, they really do create an amazing and unique atmosphere. I've stayed in a lot of hostels and they're often just places to sleep and shower, this was a place to hang out... More

Peeling paint, cramped kitchen and eating area. There was only one bathroom/ toilet on each floor which was shared between 12 people if it was full. Plumbing must be old as one had to throw used toilet paper in the bin. Yes. USED toilet paper goes into the bin, not toilet bowl. They make you read a rules book at... More

Located in a pretty centrical place, I spent 3 days in a cool and friendly atmosphere. The place was nice and clean, but the most important thing is that they were always smiling!! I had a great time there and I made some friends!!

I was really impressed with Casa Caracol. I was travelling with my dad (who is 73) and we were both made to feel very welcome. It's obvious the staff really love what they are doing - it didn't feel like merely a money-making operation like some hostels tend to. The building is lovely and old and has real character, and... This is the first hostel experience ever! I was worried about what. Would expect! We arrived to a friend,y welcome by Yvonne. We got our room which slept six people. Sacred bathroom which was a little hard to get into before ten am. You have to clean up after each shower! You get pancakes for breakfast which is included! If... More

Casa Caracol truly is one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The staff is super friendly, welcoming and including, the food is great (free breakfast and cheap dinner) the rooms are supercosy. There is not much noise from the street, I didn't have any trouble sleeping, the beds are comfy and the huge lockers are great! Fits a big... More

Great vibe, comfortable, hospitable, fun, funky, great staff, beautifully decorated and squeaky clean. Short walking distance to port, bus and train station. Best hostel we've ever experienced. Free pancake breakfast and great dinners prepared by staff for a modest price (4 euros). We had a private room with loft bed and shared bathroom 40 euros. Bathrooms cleaned 3 times a... More

What a fantastic place! This hostel has a great atmosphere. The central atrium is nicely decorated, but more importantly allows the good vibes to spread around the hostel. These good vibes are created by the friendly staff and helped by a good selection of different music to either chill out to or get you going! I was travelling on my... More

Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young girls). Hosts gave us a dorm room of 7 bunks just for us. Lovely hammocks upstairs, plenty of room, we ate dinner with them and attended a salsa class in the evening. Feeling of being part of the family. Were very good with our girls. Good memories.
