Stayed here last year, and came back this year again. The hotel is near everything in Magdeburg. The rooms are nice, but the hotel entrance still smells from cigarettes... It should not be allowed to smoke at the entrance... Some of the rooms are headed against Haubtbahnhof (train station) and you can hear all night the trains coming and going...... More

We have stayed in this hotel seven times, starting in 1998. We keep returning because of the friendly and helpful staff, its central location, good food, and comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful receptionists. The rooms are rather small but intelligently furnished. Sound insolation good and keeps off the noise of nearby trains. Sufficient parking available.Touring cyclists welcomed. Breakfast abundant and quickly replenished. Free ticket for townwide public transport with timetables available at reception although all remarkable places of Magdeburg are in walking distance.

Like all the InterCity hotels, this was built chiefly to lodge German Railways' staff between shifts and so is right next to the railway station in Magdeburg. However, the hotel was clean and bright, the staff were friendly; and the range of food for breakfast was excellent. The breakfast room doubles up as a restaurant but we didn't see anyone... More
