“Great oldtown location, but getting a bit worn”

The owner was super friendly, helpful and with a laidback cool attitude. Great location, near many restaurants, pubs, old town historical buildings and art galleries. Friday/Saturday nights are noisy due to the nightclubs around the corner, even in the middle of winter. We had the family room on the second floor and could hear music until quite late. Some hotel... Hotel am Rathaus (don't know why it is called 'El Rancho' in Tripadvisor?) is a small cosy hotel in the middle of Altstadt. “Really great location and great value for money”

Stayed here while visiting a number of friends in Dusseldorf and accommodation was at a premium because of a Messe. Very friendly staff. I was lucky enough to get the top floor room which has a small roof terrace. Not noisy despite being in the heart of the Altstadt. Great location. Would definitely stay again.

Myself & my wife and 2 young daughters stayed there for weekend. It is in a fantastic location right in heart of Alt Stadt (old town) in Markt platz. Our room overlooked the beautiful Christmas Market there literally 6 feet from our hotel door. The excellent friendly staff provided our 2 daughters with 2 extra beds at no additional charge... More
