Nice modern hotel, in excellent condition, great neighbourhood. Excellent rate - only problem is the lack of air conditioning. Request a room facing away from the street if you need to sleep with your window open. More

The single room was enough for one person, very good service at the reception, clean hotel. Quite noisy because of train stop at the front of the hotel but not disturbable. It's a good choice for living near the city centre and affordable. More

It was warm while we were there, and despite windows that open, it was very warm in the rooms without A/C. We were on the 5th floor and even from there it was pretty loud b/c it's right downtown, about 20 min walk to the Dom. The Ambassador took us a while to find but once found (streets were a bit confusing there for the GPS) it was super. Outstanding breakfast and great restaurant on the bottom floor. The Ambassador is very, very basic, with very, very small rooms. However, it has anything you would need in order to rest after partying in Cologne or discovering the city.
