The Courtyard Marriott Berlin was what you expect from this chain. Clean and reasonably priced. They were doing construction in the front of the hotel but you never heard it during sleep hours or the morning. The hotel, interestingly enough, is not in the old West or East Berlin. It's where 'no man's land' was. A really convenient location within walking distance to nearly everything. There is construction at the moment immediately out front but it's actually not a bad thing as it keeps traffic and noise at minimum. Staff were very friendly and thoroughly helpful.... More

Exactly what you'd expect of a Courtyard : excellent staff, clean, more affordable than the full-fat Marriott or RC, and tucked into a better location than a glance at a map might suggest. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in Sept. 2011. Rooms and amenities comparable to Courtyards in USA. Excellent location for downtown Berlin: walk to Gendarmenmarkt, Bus and Subway stops close by. We used the bus frequently. Hotel staff helpful. Prices moderate to low for Berlin. More
