Hotel Astoria is à little hotel in the center of Berlin. Close to the Gedachtniskirche and the Ku'damm. Bahnhof Zoo is just a 2 minutes walk away. We booked the Astoria for its proximity to the Technical University where I was attending a conference, but it proved to be a good base for sightseeing as well due to its proximity to the Zoo station with its very numerous train and bus connections. The hotel Astoria is located just off of Kurfurstendam close to shopping and transit. The bus from the airport stops just at the corner, and the Ubahn (Ulanderstrasse is equally close.
