Stayed over New Years. Was apprehensive when we pulled up, Double parked to unload baggage. Worried when sign pointed up a fight of stairs to "Reception". The location and people are great, they know their city and made great recommendations for eating and sightseeing. Like most big city hotels in this price range, the rooms are small but the breakfast was surprisingly large for France, rolls,eggs, yogurt, etc. The parking location and price was great but be sure to reserve. A City of Lights--as well as the "gastronomic capital of France!" The Hotel des Celestins is a lovely property in a magnificent setting. Be sure to request a superior room on the theater side. I hope to return to both Lyon and Hotel des Celestins! More
