Poor quality for the price, Euro 178.00 per night (sleep only, not breakfast), very basic room. Also I order a Caesar Salad, and the brought me a salad with eggs, balsamic vinegar, sundried tomatoes, etc., far from a Caesar, when I told the service room, that is not a Caesar salad, he told me that is a Caesar on this... Dear Madam, We are truly sorry that your experience in Marseille did not reach your expectations. We are really surprised by your remarks concerning your stay at the Sofitel Marseille Vieux Port which do not correspond to our standards. The ingredients of the Ceasar salad you mentioned do not match with our room service offer. Also we do not have... More

The Sofitel is a very well turned out hotel in an excellent location for exploting Marseille. Our room was overlooking the old port (do ask for this if you book). The facilities are decent (gym, pool, spa, etc) though it was lacking something which would be required to make it a 5 rating. It is quite pricey and whilst excellent,... More

This is a magnificent, modern hotel overlooking Vieux Port of Marseille. The rooms are great and fully equipped, but a touch on the small side. There are rooms with individual terraces overlooking the old harbor. The terraces are very large, full of sunshine, and just magnificent. We normally don't order breakfast in the room, but it was worth it here... More

We stayed at the Sofitel for 4 nights and it was the highlight accommodation of our trip. After a long train journey from Bordeaux and a 30 minute walk from the train station we arrived into a tranquil, beautiful environment of the Sofitel. The staff upon arrival were more than happy to speak English. We stayed in a harbor view... More

We arrived the evening of Wednesday, December 28, 2011 and stayed until the morning of Friday, December 30, 2011 to a lovely Sofitel property. We stayed in Room 519 with a port view. The hotel staff was very attentive upon arrival, with our car and luggage being taken care of immediately. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and made us... More

Dear Sir, Madam, We are really pleased that you spent a pleasant stay among us and we thank you for your remarks about the professionalism of our teams. Concerning the business center, we would like to highlight that the wifi connection is free in the entire hotel. Room was lovely. Fantastic shower. Great view over the harbour. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Wished we could have stayed longer. Short walk down to the old port area - or very convenient bus service. More

Where as I have already said that the ambiance ans staff were good, particularly at breakfast I was a little surprised at the small choice of wines on offer at the bar and on the second nigjht even with such a small selection the bar stock was limited or in fact pout of stock. I have a continual problem with... More

Entering the hotel was a good experience, with attentive staff greeting and offering to take care of your luggage, this despite myself in very casual clothes. Similar experience at the check in, which was quite fast and efficient, though as typical with prepaid rates, some confusion which though was resolved quickly. Was upgraded to a room with harbour view, so... More
