Great location with a super restaurant/bar. Served a good breakfast at an additional fee. Within walking distance of the train station. Rooms were just ok for the price paid. Need to be updated, with new bedding and such. More

100 yards to the Palaces des Papes and a 100 feet from the square which had numerous eateries,bars and other assorted stores. Not far (5minutes) from car park if you have a car. Very comfortable and friendly - generally quite quiet; rather expensive for the month of October. Employees very helpful, excellently situated. Beds comfortable, blinds and curtains mean that it is sufficiently dark. Close to car park. More

Stayed 4 nights in Avignon and this hotel was a great location. The room was adequate but pleasant. I recommend skipping the breakfast buffet and wandering around the square to the bakery for caffe au lait and petit dejunier. More

This is a pleasant, centrally located hotel, right next to the Palace des Papes. Although it was right in the middle of town I didn't find it noisy and slept well every night. Nothing fancy but solid three-star hotel is the best way to describe this Mercure. Great location, between the Hotel de Ville and the Place du Palais des Papes. Our room had a view of the lovely plaza below, and was a comfortable size, though there was limited clothing storage if you are into unpacking all your clothes at each stop.... More

The hotel is an absolute nightmare for parking and seriously needs some investment to modernise the interior! However, the location is great bang in the middle of Avignon. I would also say it is seriously overpriced, and the air con did not work properly. More
