My husband and I stayed here for one night. We were actually looking to stay at another B&B in Avignon but this one won out for the novelty of staying aboard a houseboat. At first, we were a bit confused about the location, but it was acutally no big deal. It is located just outside of the main city area,... More

The booking process was very easy and smooth even though I don't speak French at all. The host Laurent gave us a warm greeting on the deck of the boat at 6pm on the day we arrived. We booked the captain's room, which gives us lots of spaces and great privacy, including a kitchen for us to cook. The view... More

Had great stay on Laurent's barge QI (pronounced "key"). The location can look a bit daunting, but we had no probelms (as Laurent had assured us) and our car was parked outside for 5 days without issue. Unfortunately it was too cold to eat outside (early March), but breakfast in the room was just as good. It is 10-15 minutes... More

This was the coolest find ever. Laurent who runs the B&B has put in so much time and effort into making this boat a great place for his guests. We stayed in the Reve (dream) room, but we were also blown away to be shown a TinTin room which is the greatest thing I have ever seen (the walls are... More

I was delighted by our six day journey on the barge:homemade jams just delicious , we've been very well welcomed , the barge is very confortable and the view is just amzing.Perhaps , the only negative point I can raise would be that group of Americans dining on the terrasse , making noise until midnight whereas the owner had expressly... Enjoyed staying in the captains cabinet (more an appartement really) on this old rhone barge. Laurent was very hospitable and look out for Sinbad the lovely ginger cat.

We ha whised to stay 2 times when visiting Provence, but we never had the opportunity it was always full. The 3rd times has benn the one. Very convenient to center for our teenagers and close enough to the countryside for our day trip The rooms are very nicely decorated, nevertheless they are all quite small, something that is more... I was curious about living in a boat for a couple of days... and it fulfilled my dreams. The boat is full of fantasy and ideas. I just loved it! I am amazed by that our host renovated everything on his own! Anyway he is a very nice person, who does his best during his guest's stay. The place is... More

This charming bed and breakfast on the Rhone river really helped make our trip to Avignon the getaway of a lifetime. The location couldn't be better - a fully functioning houseboat just across the river from the city walls and Palais des Papes!! The location was also very calm and peaceful, which is hard to find in Avignon in tourist... More

It's unlikely for me, but I can actually now say that I have stayed on a boathouse, on the Rhone, in Provence! It is a form of accommodation that in my head has been reserved for the more affluent, and groups of travelers, but to my surprise Peniche was an affordable bed and breakfast and so comfortable I extended my...
