We stayed again at L'Ecrin and enjoyed our stay as much as ever. This is a true French hotel. Sadly Jean Claude who is the manager is leaving. We have known him for 25 years. Enjoy your retirement Jean Claude. The hotel will not be the same without you.

I have recently spent one night at Hotel L'Ecrin and really enjoyed it. The room was small but charming, clean and nicely decorated. Hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of plants and flowers. It is walking distance to the harbour. The hotel is full of antiques and amazing paintings.

The Hotel l'Ecrin is a throwback to an earlier era of hoteling. The hotel contains an astonishing and eclectic collection of antiques and bric-a-brac placed in what is sometimes a dizzying display. Even the caretaker is a bit of an antique. Despite having a computer, which generated the bill, he maintains a written ledger, noting the details of each guest's... More

When we walked into the hotel, we were taken aback by the beauty of the place. Antiques abound, flowers are everywhere. The dining room is amazing--sunny, full of lovely plants and flowers, cheery and beautiful. The place is incredibly quiet--we had the best sleep of our trip here. We were on the top floor and our bathroom had a large... More

We had a reservation in the main house, but we arrived at 9:30 AM off of a boat, and our room was not ready. We were offered a room in the new section adjacent to the parking lot, and we took it. It was lovely. The beds were very comfortable, the shower had lots of hot water, there was a... More

This hotel is really beautiful, with antique furniture, paintings, sculptures and fresh flowers in reception and other general rooms. The gardens were also full of flowers and secluded, and the pool was available, although too cold for swimming in April. Breakfast was not included on our booking, but is fairly reasonably priced with a good buffet. For economy, try any... More

The manor house is an exquisite refined place, managed by exquisite refined people who make you feel at home. A very peaceful place, surrounded by a beautiful garden, and still at a walking distance from the heart of Honfleur. The hotel itself looks like an art museum, with old impressionist paintings, and strangely enough, Asian statues. Our room was quiet... More

This is a lovely old hotel. Old in the sense of old world charm. The staff are exceptional and very accommodating. Like most hotels in the regional areas of France there is no lift, but the staff carried our bags up to the room. One of the big plusses with this hotel is that it has its own private parking... Beautiful rooms, great breakfast and wonderful staff, what more could you ask for. It was a little early in the season for the pool...but if the temp is right, you will enjoy the afternoon sun relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine at your side. Loved Honfleur...and I was completely taken by surprise by the Erik Satie Museum....if... More

Great location and a beautiful French chateau. We stayed in main building in well decorated double room with very clean modern en suite bathroom. Staff very friendly and welcoming, even putting the champagne we brought with us on ice without us asking. Very nice breakfast in the conservatory. Plenty of choice including freshly squeezed orange juice. Beautifully decorated with interesting... More
