We stayed here on a spontaneous trip to Dunkerque for one night. The owner came down to meet us after pressing the buzzer and we were pleasantly surprised at how easily he switched between French and fluent English. We were shown to a clean room which was perfect with a lovely view of the sea and a nice sun drenched... More

We enjoyed our one night stay. The room was fine, clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location , close to the sea, good view from the balcony. Friendly service and a nice breakfast. We would stay again .

My family stayed for only 2 nights, but I have to say thanks to Vincent and Christine for a warm welcome. The Transat Bleu looks dated from the outside but the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are no lifts but as we were on the first floor it didn't matter. Its close to the beach and there are plenty... More

nice people-nice food-good view from balcony-only thing is when flushing toilet in bathroom ithought the panzers were coming again-will definetly go back again and have a good steak and fine wine after a walk along the seafront which is less than a minute away with some good bars

A nice location near the sea and beach front bars, and should be very pleasant once the road works have finished. The hotel would profit from a facelift and seems a little run down, much like the surrounding area. Parking seemed sparse but we managed, maybe because guests were few at the time of our visit. The manager was really... More

Pre - booked this hotel online thinking it was near the car ferry port, it was a 45 minute car journey away, It is a typical seaside hotel, rather shabby, no lift, room clean with small balcony, owner pleasant. Short walk to beach area & restaurants. Paid 74 Euros per couple, could have done better. Breakfast 6.50 Euros, could have... More

This was the prove that not only Brittish people know hospitality. The hotel looks al little worn down on the outside, but the rooms are okay. And by far the cheapest I've ever stayed for in a hotel, and that included breakfast and wifi :)

I was attending a conference and registered too late to get any of the organiser's hotels, which were all in higher categories. When I discovered two days before the event that Transat Bleu had a single room left, I had no choice but to go for it. Given the low rate, I was expecting the worst. It turned out to... More

Hotel is located not in front, but very close to the beach (just a minute). We stayed in a small but very clean room with balcony. You get a good french breakfast with baguette, croissant, café au lait, etc. The people running the hotel are very friendly. There is a good choice of restaurants and bars nearby and public parking... More
