Location is fantastic, near to many shops and restaurants. We stayed here for 2 nights and totally love the whole experience: the friendly owners who are always helpful to provide recommendations, the cute room equipped with kettle, coffee & tea, wifi, and most of all the amazing spread of breakfast prepared by Marie-Christine really makes my day! (She knows the... More

If you don't mind climbing four flights of stairs (I don't), there is a warm welcome here. Brilliantly located close to Place des Vosges, the B and B is clean and comfortable. The weird thing was sharing a shower - two doors from two rooms - but the bed was comfortable and the breakfast generous. The Mme Garcin is charming... More

Well, what a pleasant surprise. Such a lovely apartment and really helpful friendly owners and in a fantastic location in what is probably the best area in Paris. The shared shower is ingenious - and really good to have this ensuite. The breakfasts were very good and more than we expected - fruit, nuts, yoghurt, egg, bread, croissants and jam... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review, very precise and to the point. It is true that, when a guest occupies a room, we do not infringe on his/her privacy. The room is thoroughly cleaned before and after your stay but not during your stay. Only if you stay more than four nights do we clean the room and change... More

Les Toits is in a great location in The Marais, and very reasonably priced in comparison with hotels in the area. The owners are lovely and very helpful, and although the shower room is shared, this isn't really a problem. But what we did find a problem is having to walk through the owners' kitchen to get to the toilet.... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for reviewing our B&B. As you have noticed, our building is in a historical location and dates back from the 17th century, which explains why we do not have any lift as there is no room for it in the staircase. Same thing for the toilets. They are located close to the entrance to the flat... More

Really nice place to stay if you want to feel like a local. You're hiring a room in a charming apartment with a shared bathroom. That being said the experience was awesome. We loved it! Marie-Christine is a good hostess and the breakfast provided was spot-on! Very central and easy to navigate and tour Paris from. Understand you're not getting... More

This is a great place if you you appreciate a simple, clean room. There are no extras, big breakfasts, or smelly soaps. It's a bed and a bath in a stellar location. Here is what you need to know: Cool - The LOCATION in the Marais is the best. Amazing shopping, cafes, and restaurants are just steps away. - The... More

This is a great spot for those wanting a ‘Paris’ experience and immerse themselves in local life, not bump into their next door neighbour in the hotel lobby. You are hosted by a French couple in their apartment which is in a fantastic, quiet location - by Paris standards. Dozens of cafes, restaurants within easy walking distance, even a bakery... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We are in a very old building, dating back from Louis XIII and built for the Marquis de Joyeuse. It is located 2mn away from the Place des Vosges and 5mn from the Musée Picasso. In the next block, you find the historical museum of the city of Paris (free entrance) and the house of Victor Hugo (free entrance) is at the corner of the Place des Vosges. Just downstairs, on the other side of the street, there is a very nice Boulangerie where we fetch the bread, croissants and pains au chocolats in the morning, warm from the oven. But the drawback is that we have no lift! You have to climb 84 stairs to arrive here and to be able to look at the Toits du Marais, a very nice view from the living room where you will have your breakfast in the morning. Our flat is simply different as we had to cope with history : both guest rooms share a large shower, the toilets are at the entrance, you pass through the kitchen... In short, you will enjoy a real parisian experience if you dare visit us! ... more   less
