TIP - If you are entering Tours by bus or train for the first time and you don't know where you are going print out or get a map before you go!!!! The line at the tourist office is always very long. We stood in it for 20 min. before deciding to just try it with out a map. Colbert... More

The hotel is under new management since we last stayed here. Our room at the back of the hotel on 1st floor overlooking the lovely courtyard. Was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast in the... More

The Hotel Colbert is well located, within walking distance of the train station and most of the sights. It is on Rue Colbert. Rue Colbert is one of the old, narrow streets, not subject to much vehicle traffic. A number of good restaurants are on that street with a variety of food. The staff were great and helpful. However, the... More

We stayed here for two nights during a weeks trip around the Loire. I was a little put off when we first arrived at the hotel as it is pretty run down on the outside and seems to be on a pretty rough street. But we were given such a walm welcome by the owners our reservations were soom diminished.... More

Stayed at Hotel Colbert for 2 nights. The hotel is under new ownership by a very nice family. The hotel is very clean and a great value. It's location is quiet and close to everywhere you need to go, such as the train station and the main square. Both are about a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel owners are willing... More

Stayed for three nights, the staff were great. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are recently renovated. I loved the location, perfect for mealtime and better if you like to party at night. If you need quiet to sleep, be sure to ask for a room not on the street. Mine was right above due Colbert, luckily I brought... More

The hotel was very nice - friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. The room we had was facing the street which mean a nice balcony breeze but a little loud at night for anyone who has those concerns (we did not but just an FYI). Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, though as another FYI the "available parking" is... More

We stayed in Hotel Colbert for 2 nights and were pleased with the hotel overall. The place was clean and spacious, and we had one of the cheap rooms. The furnishings are pretty dated and it could do with a revamp - but for the price it is great. We were pleased and would stay there again. The only thing... More

Good location in the centre of Tours on a historical street with many interetsing shops and excellent restaurant and bars. The hotel is friendly with good size rooms that are clean and a good size with comfortable beds. There are no lifts so elderly visiters take note. The building decoration needs updating and bathrooms could do with a refit. Faint... More

This hotel is in a great location, and the prices are reasonable. It is always a busy and the staff are very helpful. The place itself is quaint. A family room is great value. The rooms differ, and are decorated in different themes. I was in two different ones at different times. One was better than other but both were... More
