On our frequent trips driving through Europe with our dogs, we stay here often, the rooms are nicely decorated, although the bathrooms tend to let them down, very basic, which is why I haven't given them full marks, but the restaurant is fantastic, make sure you reserve yourself a table. Have the cheese board it's the best we have ever... More

We had an amazing trip here in August 2011. We went biking with our 2 kids through the Loire Valley and stayed here for 2 nights. This was a wonderful place to stay, particularly in August. The chateau is beautiful and the rooms were lovely. The location is excellent as a starting point for bike rides. The management was lovely.... More

So much to say about this place. The grounds are just breath taking!!! The food is just incredible! We first got a small room in the little houses new the chateau, it was ok but very small. The next morning we were taking to the owners and we discovered that there was some availability in the Chateau so we upgraded... More

The unique atmosphere of something special. The castle itself, the small guest houses around. Perfect food-both the dinner, with the a la carte menu-would be appreciated by any gourmand, and tasteful breakfast, with real french croissants, cheeses and home made jam! I'd definitely visit this place once again!

From the first step into the door to closing the door behind us upon leaving...the staff, our room, fine dining, wine selection and the view were nothing short of spectacular! We were treated like royalty. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and had wonderful suggestions. The location is superb a great base for visiting the near by Chateau's and vineyards. The... More

My husband & I booked a room at the Domaine de la Tortiniere based on the overall very positive reviews on trip advisor as well as the relatively central location in the Loire Valley. The location near Tours was especially important to us since we were arriving by train from Paris (to Saint Pierre Des Corps) and only had 2... More

In March of 2013 a friend and I reserved a room in the main chateau at Domaine de la Tortiniere for two evenings while on holiday in the Loire Valley. We chose it for its central location to the many castles and vineyards. We were afforded a most reasonable rate because we prepaid for our room in advance. In booking... More

This is probably one if the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Not only for its wonderful building and setting outside Tours but also for the magnificent service we received throughout our stay. We stayed in one of the standard rooms in the outbuilding of the hotel and although not grand, it was done very tastefully and suited our needs.... More

There were a few quirky things about our room, but I just reminded myself that it's a turret in a chateau with gorgeous surroundings and I'd probably never stay in such a unique place again. The room was very nicely furnished and incredibly roomy, with a living room off the turret, equipped with a little dining table, flat screen t.v.,... More

We stayed in a well named 'Charme' room in the main hotel. The room was well designed and brightly decorated- some might feel it was small, but we were happy with the size. Bathroom was well appointed with comfortable robes. The room was spotless. We did eat in the restaurant each evening, service was best on the first and third... More
