We spent four days in Loire Valley in mid-October. We could not be happier with our charming bed and breakfast in Chinon. Both rooms are charmingly furnished, extremely functional, and scrupulously clean. There is a small refrigerator in the hallway stocked with juice and water, and of course to chill the champagne we carried from Eparnay. The breakfast of juice,... More

My husband & I spent 6 nights at the beginning of October in this charmingly restored ancient building decorated in a chic antique manner with tastefully patterned wallpaper and a variety of second-hand furniture & fittings which blended in well with Helene & Jean-Michel's decorating style. Our room (accessed by a spiral stone & oak tread staircase) was the Chambre... More

Hospitality, Comfort and Location. Small B&B...you could only find through other travelers sharing their experiences. The other reviews set high expectations and they were met. The walled gardens are private and relaxing. Beds comfortable....spacious rooms and cheerful decorating. Just a totally fun experience. More

Our family of three stayed here for two nights at the end of June. I only wish we could stay longer. Our room was spacious and charming, with very comfortable bed, small TV, tea/coffee station, and a small private bathroom looked cheerful and new. Our son had a separate room that was perfect for one. There was a small refrigerator,... More

Logis Saint Mexme was our first stop after Paris on a driving trip through France last September. It is a converted abbey with only two guest rooms and you are well-advised to take either one! We stayed in La chambre Jardin but peeked into the other suite while it was between guests and can promise that you will be very... More

Logis Saint Mexme is just as wonderful as all the other reviewers have said. We had the Garden Room which was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The bathroom alone is worth superlatives, and I am still pining for the breakfasts - my only complaint is that I could never fit it all in! Hélène and Jean-Michel are the perfect hosts... More

I found this B&B on trip advisor and it couldn't have been better. We stayed in the garden room. The decor was gorgeous, the room quiet and private with tea/ coffee facility, everything was clean and spacious. The bathroom was new and clean with quirky colour scheme that I loved. Breakfasts were the best we had in France, good coffee,... More

We stayed here for two nights last summer, and had a fantastic experience. We found it from TripAdvisor, and I am not surprised it has a 100% satisfaction rating- it really was beyond compare. We stayed in the garden room- real country cottage chic, very very spacious, (even had a separate single bedroom as well), and a quirky well fitted... More

I did not have the opportunity to stay here as it was all booked up for my last minute trip. But the owners did reply back quickly with a list of other inns and B&B's in the area that I could contact. Very friendly and helpful! Next time, I will try them again. More

I've stayed in a well over a dozen or so B&Bs and "Logis St. Mexme" tops my list. Our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable with character and charm. The owners, Jean-Michel and Hélène, who also run the B&B, were lovely, helpful, professional, practical and welcoming at every step. Each morning we had a breakfast basket of pastries and breads...
