My wife and 2 small children stayed in a 2 queen bed quad room in September for one night to break the journey from Paris to the South. We got lucky and were able to park immediately in front of the hotel in a free spot on the street. Check in was efficient and were were provided with a password...

We stayed in this hotel over the week-end. Convenient location within walking distance from the historical center of DIJON but the hotel is very average! It has been renovated and redecorated recently but the rooms are rather small and those overlooking the main street are quite noisy in spite of the double glazing. The building in itself is old-fashioned.

There is nothing fancy about Hotel Montchapet and it is a typical two-star hotel. The room is small, the amenities are minimal, and the breakfast is little more than a baguette with jam. This hotel was in the middle of being refurbished when we visited (something omitted from the website description) and is situated in a residential area of Dijon some 15 – 20 minutes walk from the town centre.
The medieval town centre is something else and we ate at one of the many restaurants around the market square.
On road parking...

We chose this hotel as a stopover for one night on the way through France. We had two rooms, one for our four children and one for ourselves which were both recently refurbished and beautifully finished. The receptionist was helpful in telling us where to eat etc. The breakfast could have been a bit better - a bread roll and...
