My wife and I stayed at the Great Northern in Feb 2013, whilst visiting family in the area. It was very cozy, and had a fantastic breakfast. The staff were very friendly as other people have testified. Excellent bar staff, just what I would expect from an English hotel!

Excellent venue! We held our wedding reception at this hotel and I must say what a five star service, the wedding coordinator and staff were so helpful and friendly. Food was delicious and all in all we felt very special! Good value for money and great location for guests.
