Just back from an AMAZING stay in the Wicklow Head lighthouse. Unique property, beautifully restored, full of character and with spectacular panoramic views over Dunbar head and the Irish sea. Warm welcome from the property managers- who've managed a variety of working lighthouses all around Ireland so told us about the history of this one (and the front lighthouse, which... More

My family spent a week here in July and could not have asked for a better experience. We have done something that not many families have gotten to do. Temporarily lived in an historic lighthouse! We loved it and working with the Irish Landmark Trust was a great experience!

We rented the Lighthouse for three days in June 2012 and it was one of the best vacation experiences we ever had. The lighthouse is situated about 100 m back from the cliffs. To get there you need to drive a small road which is officially blocked for public traffic so you will not meet many people up there. You... More

This experience was part of a trip of a lifetime for us. We stayed in the lighthouse for a week and lived a fairytale. How lucky we were. The wind howled, the sun shone and we had our very own light house to keep us safe.We found it through the Irish Ladmark Trust who restore historic buildings all around Ireland.... More

What a great story to tell family back home! We really enjoyed our stay in the lighthouse. It is the most unique location we have every slept. The rooms were very cute and even though it was very stormy outside we were cozy and comfortable inside!

I booked the lighthouse for 2 nights for my husband and I to stay at during our honeymoon in Ireland. It is a little pricey, but I felt it was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in such an amazing place. The location is superb for enjoying the scenery and walking trails - I only wish we... More

Spent 2 nights at the lighthouse with friends and possibly one of the best experiences of my life and highly recommended. Evening we arrived was cold and windy but once we conquered the 109 steps and met Miriam who gave us the low down on everything and the keys we settled in! It's wonderful, the view's ever changing you loose... More

My family and I spent 3 nights here in the week before Xmas 2011. Wicklow town itself is a place with great character and a pile of perfect little shops. The lighthouse was just magical. We have always tried to give our kids experiences to remember rather than overdoing material gifts. They will certainly remember this trip. This beautiful windblown... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Wicklow Head Lighthouse. The entire lighthouse is yours, it's truly amazing. The kitchen is 109 steps from the bottom, so you have to be willing to climb lots of stairs. There are two bedrooms, and one bathroom, basically in the middle of the lighthouse. In the livingroom there are padded cubbies to sit in... More
