Nice clean, comfortable place and close to the town, easy to find also. Owners friendly and imformative as to places to go and eat, etc. Twin room was nice size and good shower, brushing your teeth in the bedroom where the sink was located was a bit odd though! Albeit good place to stay and would recommend. More

Hostel is an illegal 14-bed facility in the cellar of a guest house behind the Guinness factory. The owner is mean, the rooms are both unisex and noisy, there's 1 unventilated bathroom for 14 of you, the shower doesn't work so you must take a bath, and it's the most expensive hostel (20 euros) in Ireland. Breakfast and towels are... More

A friend and I completed a charity cycle through Ireland in August 2011 in aid of Enable Irealnd. We would like to thank the Owner/Management for their kindness and generosity in providing us with complimentary beds during our stay in Waterford. I have stayed in quiet a few hostels and this one is amongst the cleanest. The staff were very... More

I stayed in the Portree Hostel on a 12 day charity cycle. After cycling from Gorey that day, I was exhauted and was delighted to find how helpful and organised the staff were. They have a huge storage area for bikes, a lovely garden to just chill out, really nice showers, a self catering laundry service, are located on a... More

Stayed in this hostel for one night only on a bank holiday weekend. We were a party of four and we found the manager/employees to be extremely obliging to accommodate our needs. The rooms were spotless, the water hot and check out wasn't until 11.30!! Car parking facilities at the back. Light food is also available at a reasonable price.... More

Very friendly staff front an old Georgian house that has been converted into a hostel. Granted the room is a little no frills and the mattress was a bit rubbish but the room was clean, there were satellite channels and I, the staff and all the other guests seemed pleasantly chipper especially in the morning when I tucked into a... It was a pleasure to stay here, with good value, comfortable and clean rooms, a nice big comfy kitchen/dining area (with a gorgeous traditional AGA cooker - loved that warmth!). All of this comfort and space with the added advantage of friendly, chatty staff who were always on hand with anything we could want. Would stay again without hesitation. More
