This is the ideal family site, situated on a slight rise with direct access to two safe and gently shelving sandy beaches. The Championship Links golf course is beside the site, while the sailing club is just 100m away. We have a selection of hard stands and grass pitches that accept all tourer types. Each pitch has its own electric hookup and nearby water point.

We had a two week camping trip around Wales, Ireland and France and this was our least favourite campsite. It’s pricey, pitches are small and it all feels very cramped. Each pitch gets a key fob for entry to the site/washrooms/toilets and this is a pain if more than one person needs to use the facilities. The facilities themselves are ok, but the cleanliness is not the best. The site is noisy with roving bands of young children. On the plus side the staff are very friendly.

I love Rosses Point campsite. Eugene and the team do a fantastic job keeping the site well managed and are always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Amazing location, one of the nicest I've been to in Ireland. Only problem is getting availability (and maybe you could do something about the weather 🤣)!

This is a great site so near the beach with great facilities 😁 The site is well maintained and looked after and although a bit cramped we had a good pitch. Good clean facilities which are well maintained. For us the best thing about this site are the staff 💯 From the start they were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble 👌Eugene and Michael were the ones we dealt with most and they were are a great help 😁 We'll definitely be back!!

Booked last minute and they gave us a good pitch overlooking the bay. All pitches would be pretty good to be fair, and not far from the facilities block. It is nice to be able to walk to some local eateries to make a change from eating in the camper.

Rosses point has amazing views and overall we enjoyed our stay. There was a few things I was disappointed in. I had booked 3 tents under my name. Two where together and the smaller tent miles away which meant our single friend would’ve been on their own. The site did accommodate and move her closer after brief words. However there was an empty plot right beside us which was not offered. Several other people we spoke to had the same issue. When we arrived although the booking was in the same name we where told we could not pitch our last tent until more people arrived which i believe is an unnecessary requirement.

Hi Demi, Thanks for the feedback and its great to hear you enjoyed the views and your stay overall. Regarding your bookings not being beside each other, pitches are automatically allocated by the booking system so it would not have recognised the same name made all 3 bookings, nor could it have known you wanted all 3 pitches beside each other. You would also have received booking confirmations for all 3 bookings indicating what pitch number they were on and there is a numbered map of all pitches on our website so all you needed to do was either ask when making the original booking or ask us after you received the confirmations of pitch numbers - we received no email or phonecall with such a request. In short, we were never asked for all 3 bookings to be beside each other. As you said, once you mentioned it, our staff did their best to accommodate the late request and moved your friend as close as was possible at the time. Regarding the empty plots, you were on pitches 103, 104 and 133. 102, 105 and 132 were all booked with people arriving onto them later that day or the next day. As such, we could not offer you those pitches. And though I'd prefer not to speak about other guests, there was one other group who had booked under separate names who also never asked about pitches being beside each other prior to arrival. One last point is that given we are a family oriented campsite, we generally don't accept large group bookings as there is a greater risk of people making noise and disrupting the sleep of younger guests and tired parents. Many groups, like yours, are very respectful of this and we'd like to extend our thanks for that. I hope that goes some way to explaining things but if you're booking in again, just give us a call or submit a request with your booking and we'll do our best to get you sorted ;) Kind regards, Kieran & The Rosses Point Crew.

Stayed two nights last weekend and it was wonderful. Very easy to drive to. Check-in was easy & well organised & we were escorted to our pitch. I booked a large pitch which accommodated 2 tents comfortably. Pitch was slightly elevated so we rolled a little when sleeping but got used to it quickly. The toilet block wasn’t too far away and was SPOTLESS with plenty of cubicles & showers. The highlight was the coffee van that sold good coffee and pastries in the morning. You’ve direct access to the beach from the campsite which is a plus - that car park gets full. The beach is spotless & the water is clean. There’s a super vibe in the campsite - a mix of families & surfers, it’s a wonderful place. Can’t wait to come back

Visited as part of a 7 day campervan trip of Sligo and Donegal. Stayed for one night. Great location in the beach and a 5 minute walk to the village. Didn’t use on site facilities so can’t comment on that. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Dog friendly.

Very disappointed with our stay. We booked 6 weeks here in our camper van. We had paid in full before arriving. On arrival we were directed to a pitch that was far too small, both ends of the camper were sticking out obstructing the path. We told the young lad who was working there & he said we could move to a different site temporarily until they found a site more suitable. Less than a week later Kieran the site manager called my wife & told her we had to move back to the original site that was too small but they would love the electricity to make more space. The pitch was still too small even with moving the electricity. Kieran was very rude to myself, my wife & my daughter on a few occasions and told me to lump off! He has absolutely no manners or hasn’t a clue how to deal with customers. He couldn’t care less that he had to refund us our money, he was being paid his wages no matter what. After 15 years of travelling around the UK & Ireland I have never come across a site as badly run and one that didn’t give a damn about their customers. Never again would I return & I would advise anyone never to visit!

Thanks for the feedback Kay and we are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. As you say, on arrival you were directed to a pitch that has satisfied all other guests for many years. You were unhappy with this pitch as you felt it didn't fit your van. Keen to ensure you were happy, we said we would put you on another person's pitch for a few nights as he was delayed in his arrival for a number of nights. We did say we would try our best to find you an alternative pitch but as explained, this is the busiest camping season in over a decade. When we could not find an alternative pitch, I got our electrician in and we rearranged your pitch so it would fit any van up to 8 meters and leave room for an awning. In short, we moved earth for you in an effort to please. In fact, we have just had a very happy family stay there in a van just like yours and their awning was up for the entire week they were here. Contrary to your position, this family asked if they could extend their stay they liked the pitch so much. Suffice to say, the pitch would have fit your van and awning. Going back to my call to your wife. I did call her and politely explained that the person booked into the temporary pitch you were on would be arriving the next day and that I had fixed the pitch you originally booked so that it would fit your van. Unfortunately, she didn't want to move. At a guess, she preferred the temporary site we had put you on as your own pitch now met all requirements. I explained to your wife that it is the busiest season in over a decade and that I had no alternative pitches and that she would need to move to the allocated pitch or we could arrange a refund if she was not happy with that. Your daughter then came up to reception and proceeded to call me the most passive aggressive and unhelpful man she had ever met. She also added she would report me to the Minister for Tourism. I'm sorry that she felt this way after I had done everything possible to accommodate your family's requests. Moving earth, unfortunately, didn't meet your expectations. I simply explained then that the situation was that the rest of our pitches are booked up and the pitch you booked now met all your requirements. You then called me on the phone and I again explained that your pitch would fit your van and awning. I implored you to move to the site as you still had more than 30 days of a holiday to enjoy. After listening to your continued aggression and complaints I explained that I wasn't go stand for that kind of abuse and I hung up the phone. I can only imagine that your wife, daughter and yourself felt I was rude as I could not give you the answer you wanted. Again, campsites have never been busier so all other pitches were booked and i could not ask other guests to move simply because you wanted to move. We welcome over 4,000 guests to Rosses Point every year and we do our best to ensure everyone has a great stay. An overwhelming majority do so. As you know, my colleague then tried to reason with you and encouraged you to stay and move to your site. You refused again and demanded a full refund for the inconvenience. We refunded you in full as you know so, in fact, you managed to stay on site for close to 7 nights entirely free. I am not sure what else we could have done to please you but I genuinely hope you have found a nice place to stay in Lanzarote there and wish you a very happy summer. Best regards, Kieran.

Nice clean secure site. Well run, friendly staff. Fob system kept bathrooms and showers in order. Tents were a bit cramped and exposed to the road. They could do with planting more hedging around the site for more privacy and shelter. Beach at the door step and a lovely view of Coney Island.
