On a working vacation -- as I was at the Yeats International Summer School in Sligo -- I couldn't have been more fortunate than to have seen this lovely 18th-century house on the shoulder of Knocknarea, and gotten a room there for two weeks. The views from the front windows are over Lough Arrow and Yeats country, and from the... More

For us, as just one couple with two dogs, this was an ideal location from which to enjoy the many things to do & see in the area. The local information and tips from our most helpful host greatly helped with our enjoyment. More

Primrose Grange House is an old Georgian Residence that has been kindly restored in recent years by Freddie Symmons and Saoirse O Donoghue. The Guest Wing is surprisingly spacious and ideal for 4/5 people but can comfortably fit up to 7 persons. It is well kitted-out and a generous pack of basic provisions, a bale of peat briquettes, books, boardgames... More

We had a fantastic long weekend staying at Primrose Grange. Fred and his family were the perfect hosts and they pointed out great places to visit. The house is beautiful and the views down to the coast amazing. We went just after New Year for a mini-break and it was lovely. We would particularly recommend a trip to Voya Seaweed... More

The Guest Wing at Primose Grange is a very special place. Beautifully decorated, stylish and extremely comfortable and spacious, and perfect for a family break away. Stunning scenery surrounds the house, and makes it a joy to wake up here. Freddie and Saoirse could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We will be back, hopefully very soon! More

Very comfortable accommodations in a splendid location. The view is gorgeous, and there is much to see and do within driving distance, some within walking distance. While it also seemed as if you could enjoy more time spent at the house, it made a great base for us to explore the area. More

Primrose Grange is a beautiful old house, yet there was everything necessary present in the guest wing to make the stay so relaxing and enjoyable. The kitchen is excellently kitted out, the living room is spacious and comfy with lovely extras such as free board games, which we made great use of! The outdoor courtyard, with chairs and built-in BBQ... More

Had a great holiday in the picturesque Primrose Grange Guest Wing. Freddie is a marvellous host, charming and helpful. His recommendations for food (Hargadon's in Sligo, Bella Vista in Strandhill, Yeat's Tavern in Drumcliffe) were spot on and we enjoyed great food in all. The house is full of charm, warm, clean, well-stocked and comfortable. We had 4 adults and... More

We enjoyed our stay very much. The accomodation was very good, in an excellent location and with a view of the bay in the distance. The house is at the foot of Knocknarea, several kilometers from Strandhill or Sligo for restaurants and other facilities. The guest wing is at one end of this large building with the owners occupying the... More

This is a beautiful house in a stunning location with panoramic views. The accommodation is approximately 5mi from Sligo and approx 4 mi. from Strandhill (easy to get to by taxi). The accommodation itself is also very well presented and clean. I would recommend to all. More
