Warmest of Irish hospitality, with hosts Maureen and Peter. Beds comfortable, breakfasts were appetizing with lots of choices. Our favorite was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Cedar Lodge is on a quiet street, very close to town. Talking with our hostess we learned lots about the community, the country and current events. Maureen pointed us to Matt Malloy's pub for a... A very pleasant and quiet B&B in Westport. Maureen and Peter's hospitality makes you feel like a very welcomed guest. A good, full Irish breakfast, an easy walk to town. Stunning garden -- filled to overflowing with the bluest hydrangeas ever. Well worth it. More

This was a nice homely B & B run efficiently by Maureen in a very handy location in Westport. Just a walk down the hill and over the bridge and you were in the town, and a very pretty town it is with the gardens being a credit to the community. Maureen provided very good breakfasts and kept an eye... More

Maureen and Peter could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. If you want corporate, commercial and clinical accommodation, go find a hotel, if you want comfortable, relaxing and homely accommodation- stay here. Maureen's breakfasts are wonderful, with good choice and good quality produce. This is their home and you feel rather honoured to genuinely feel as though it is... More

We found Maureen & Peter to be really friendly helpful and happy hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely Irish breakfast with two eggs (i'm sure Maureen would have given me three if I asked!) Ten minutes walk to town and it's many hostelries (apparently 30 pubs and we sampled a lot of them!) The bedroom bathroom & TV would... More

Despite terrible weather, we enjoyed our stay in Westport and in particular at Cedar Lodge. The room was well appointed, although a trifle small - but that promoted a higher level of tidiness - and the breakfasts were to die for. Our room overlooked the crescent in which the property sits, but it was very quiet. The small garden is... More

Cedar Lodge is located in easy walking distance from Westport town and also a great location for touring County Mayo. Maureen is an Irish treasure! We have stayed at Cedar Lodge a few times on our travels to Ireland. It is our first pick when we are traveling to Westport because of its location and also because of Maureen and... More

We showed up at the door of this charming B&B and were warmly greeted by Peter, one of the proprietors. He showed us the room they had available and it was just what we were looking for! It was clean, big enough for the two of us (the extra bed helped) and just lovely. Peter and Maureen could not have... More

I had heard of how amazing Westport is, especially for the more adventurous people. Between Croagh Patrick, cycling, and surfing, I definitely wanted to check it out. I made a trip very spur of the moment to see Westport and the Cedar Lodge was only about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The convenience factor certainly appealed to... More
