Just back from a visit to Ireland. We stayed at Windsor Lodge for 4 nights. It was the perfect location for visiting Boyne Valley sites and Dublin. We walked across the street to catch a bus to Dublin--much better than driving and paying for parking. Olive & John were wonderful hosts--very kind and very helpful! We felt very much at... More

Enjoyed a 2 night stay on 17 / 18 April. Our party of 9 arrived late in the day and after a recommendation from the tourist centre we arrived on the doorstep of the Windsor. Olive and John were wonderful and most definitely went above and beyond what was necessary. Very comfortable and homely, great breakfast, easy walk to town... More

We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 children in a family room 7th-11th April 2013, visiting relatives who lived quite close by. The room had 2 double beds, bedside cabinets, table with tea coffee making facilities and dressing table with chair, tv with freeview, bathroom with sink, toilet and power shower (which was great) and free wifi.... Last year my Partner and I stayed at this B & B for one night. It all started nicely, with a good room (in a separate building), where we checked in around 5 in the afternoon. However, when we came back from having dinner somewhere else, the window in our room was wide open. It must have been like that... More

We have taken note of this most unfortunate review and the date of the guest's stay with us -- nearly a year ago. The single element of her review that we would agree with is the phrase "incredibly rude" -- and that applies to the guest herself. In May of last year, this couple came for a one-night stay with... Very welcoming reception, excellent service. Very comfortable spacious, spotless room. On site parking at no extra cost. Amazing breakfast. Owner went the extra mile... helping and advising of where to go and what to see throughout Ireland, even booked other accommodation for us! An absolute wonderful Irish hospitable experience.

My father wasn't feeling well, so Trish from the Failte B&B in Slane told us about the Windsor Lodge, and we stayed an extra night in the area. What a wonderful find! After we tucked Dad into bed, John recommended we stop at Monasterboice and I'm so glad we did. The Celtic crosses from Monasterboice are the ones I've seen... More

My husband and I stayed at the Windsor Lodge in Sept 2012. It was our first time to Ireland and I was looking for a place to crash after our long flight into Dublin. For this purpose, the Windsor lodge was great! It was cute and comfortable. There is parking onsite and the traditional Irish breakfast was a perfect way... More

By far, one of the nicest B&Bs in which I have stayed...if for no other reason, the bed and linens...I have missed fabric softener and comfortable sheeting since I have arrived...hopping from one hotel to the next as we worked our way around the country...it does, indeed, feel like a home...would never think of staying anywhere else...
