Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tried to book a room, using their Internet platform and found a message that no booking was taken until they accepted it. I had given email address and also mobile phone number. In spite of this no acknowledgment about the booking. No phone no email. Pure silence. Not Good enough.

We were on a hen wknd. From the minute we arrived the staff were very welcoming. The rooms are spacious and spotless. We all had en-suite rooms. The breakfast was gorgeous. Rosie and her Staff were so friendly. Rosie’s mother in law was such a gorgeous lady too. Thank you. And as Arnie says we’ll be back.

We stayed at the abbylodge at the weekend and it was absolutely perfect. They couldn't of done more for us ( I know its not easy having hens for the weekend) The breakfast on both mornings were perfect, place was spotless and such good value! Would highly recommend. Thank you for everything!

As part of a group of 24 women on a hen party, we stayed in Abbeylodge b&b and I can't thank Rosie enough. The b&b is decorated to a standard of a 5* hotel, immaculately clean and so close to town. We had the place to ourselves for two nights and could come and go as we pleased and nothing was a bother to Rosie or her wonderful staff. We were greeted each morning with an array of breakfast choices, all cooked to order.

The location is ideal, just off of the main road in a quiet cul de sac with off street parking. It is only a five minute walk from the town center, the Black Abbey and the two cathedrals. The room we had was spotlessly clean and pleasantly decorated with pleasant view of the rear garden. Breakfast was traditional Irish but if you wanted something lighter there was a large choice of cereals and continental was also available. If we go back to Kilkenny we would definately book to stay here again.

Enjoyable! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The area is beautiful and Kilkenny is picturesque there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It was a great step back into Kilkenny's medieval history Well worth a visit.

Rosie was so easy to communicate with while booking our accommodation, and she was also quite helpful with pub and restaurant recommendations This B&B was in a great location, 5-10 minutes from the main streets with pubs and shops. The house was nicely decorated and clean. Our room was small but comfortable. There were water and small chocolate bars in our room, a nice touch! There was a blow dryer in the room and plenty of towels. I did find the shower a bit finicky- I recommend leaving the water temperature alone, and giving it a few minutes before getting in. It went from cold to scalding and cold again for the first few minutes of my shower. Our breakfast was perfection! A great stay. Would stay again.

Stayed in the B&B for one night with 21 other women as part of a hen party. The B&B was perfect, a little outside the city but that's not a problem. Rosie and her staff looked after us so so well. All the lovely little touches were so thoughtful! Breakfast the next morning was fantastic, no complaints from any of our hens!!

The b&b is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Rosie, the landlady is very helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious. The bottles of water, tea making facilities and chocolate bars were a lovely touch. Breakfast was very good with loads if choice on offer.
