O'Malley's is now in its second year with its new host, Paul. Friendly, helpful, and attentive, he is attending to needed maintenance. O'Malley's, though not fancy, is most comfortable and homey, reasonably priced, and ideally located for exploring Kilkenny on foot. Fluffy, the resident cat, is a bonus. More

Kilkenny is a really interesting place with a range of interesting historical sites. We stayed one night at O'Malley's as part of a one week stay in Ireland. It was a comfortable night and when the stay is only short as this was, O'Malley's provided the basic comforts and connection with the town, that we wanted. It is close to... More

We stayed in this guesthouse for one night. It's centrally located, all the town center is in walking distance (literally 5min away from the castle). The room was nice although the windows seemed to have had only simple glazing or if not the sound proofing from the street could be improved somehow (ear-plugs do the trick though). The usual amenities... More

i will give you that it is an old building and cost of upkeep is staggering, it might not compare to a five star hotel but you are not paying that either. the rooms were very clean as well as the rest of the guest house. the cat that also has adopted O'Malley's is very friendly and the purrfect greeter.... Loved everything about this B&B. I have stayed here a lot of times an especially now since there is a new man running it the quality and standards have become much better. Breakfast is gorgeous, rooms are cosy and homely. The locations is perfect and over all the price for our stay is nothing for the warm welcome you get... More

I couldnt recommend this B&B enough! It is situated just right off of one of the main bars-The Left Bank which has an excellent beer garden. We stayed in one bedroom with four single beds which was really spacious and the bathroom was nice. The proprietor was really friendly. Breakfast serves until 10 every morning and unlike some B&Bs it... More

O'Malleys is a great value for its location in downtown Kilkenny. Service was average- lacked the warm Irish welcome we had become accustomed to. Price was right for the service and location. More
