We arrived in Kilkenny after a long day of driving and immediately got lost trying to find the B&B. We called Nuala and she offered to meet us in a car park to get us to the B&B. I was stunned by how helpful she was. That sort of instant hospitality and friendliness is almost unheard of in the States.... More

EXTREMELY helpful owners - we were helped to find our luggage, to take our luggage upstairs, and also were taken to city centre Very welcoming Family environment Very Spacious room provided overlooking the front entrance - nice view Clean Leisure possibilities - games in the breakfast rooms, front 'garden' to relax in, piano Flight of steps to 1st floor where... We were met by a very service-minded and friendly owner when we arrived here. The room was spacious and bright, and clean. The shower was not good, there was almost no pressure and the drain seemed quite clogged. The bathroom was permanently damp and we had to leave the window open, which made it quite cold as this was in... More

Date: Oct 15, 2007 Reviewers: Phyllis & Bernard, Forest Hills, NY. Very clean, comfortable accommodations; and well-situated near town, MH was as truly a home away from home. Nuala was a gracious, personable and helpful host which made our stay that much more enjoyable. Excellent breakfasts. As B&B's go, this is a #10. More

I cannot say a bad thing about this B&B. My three traveling companions and I showed up quite early on the day of our reservation (we overestimated travel time!) but Nuala was very obliging, and didn't miss a beat in offering us our rooms, although they were still being prepped. While we unloaded our bags and set to hit the... More

I stayed in this B&B for 2 nights with a group of friends. I highly recommend it. The highlight was their breakfast. We though the lady of the house was never going to stop bringing us food!! That's a compliment. The rooms were comfortable and very clean and it is in a nice area. I would stay again if going... More

It was very nice. The room was clean, but average. We don't really need much, but a clean room, bed and shower. The breakfast was equal to many others in Ireland. The innkeepers were some of the loveliest and helpful people. The dog Rex was a hoot as well as their 2 year old, Tara. It was a true look... More

Just outside the Kilkenny city center, it is only a 10 minute walk down to the main tourist area of the city. It's far enough away that you feel like you're in a nice little suburb. You don't have to walk into the city center to get your pint and fish&chips though, there's a friendly neighborhood pub literally around the... More
