My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at Finnegan's during our stay in Tralee and it was exactly what we were looking for! It is located right in the center of the town on a charming street located next to a beautiful park. Our room was so comfortable and I felt as though I was staying at a close... More

You can tell Eileen takes pride in her establishment, as evident by both the hospitality and cleanliness this hostel exudes. Pristine, yet welcoming rooms fill the top two floors of this Old Victorian gem located in the heart of Tralee. In the morning, tea and scones are served in the charming tea room located right below the hostel. The tea... More

We travelled as a small group and stayed in this hostel for a few days during the summer. We had dorms booked for a week and ran away after three nights. The negative bits The lower part of the bunk beds have a base made of two to three old mattresses, probably an innovative view on recycling old furniture. The... More

Had great time in Tralee where we based ourselves for lads weekend away. Very friendly service and great location if going to races in Listowel and looking for cheap budget accommodation. Thanks for looking after us so well.

Stayed here as part of a group of 8. We had one toilet and shower between the 8, the beds were rickety to say the least and I had to sleep on three matresses as opposed to a matress and base! One of our groups received a large number of mysterious bites during the trip which may or may not... More

I've stayed in Finnegans probably 4 to 5 times on visits to Tralee over the last 3 years. The first time was probably the worst and they only slightly improved.....where to start.... Customer Service - Generally when running a business its a good idea to speak to your customers and answer the phone when I ring it 5 to 10... More

Beautiful building, unique anthmosphere and lovely people! Don't mis this hidden gem if you are near Tralee. If you are not planning to stay overnight, pop in for a cup of tea at Anne's Mary tea rooms. Give a go and you will be surprised!

I wouldn't normally write review but for this place I felt I should as it can be difficult to find a great place to stay, wonderful hostess, welcomed us with a warm smile, got us checked in with ease and to top it all off the place has a restaurant in the cellar that does the best food on the... Being self-employed in sales, and covering much of Ireland, I'm always on the lookout for places to stay which are inexpensive, interesting and characterful. Finnegan's fits this bill. For me the location (on Denny Street in the middle of Tralee) is perfect, as it is centrally located in Co. Kerry, allowing short travel times to every population centre in the... More
