Stayed 2 nights with a tour, and we were greeted by a wonderful family. They made us feel at home immediately, and the house was filled with the smell of baking cookies. Marese is a gourmet chef, and we were able to order our dinners from an extensive menu of fabulous meal choices. The children provided musical background during meals,... More

We had a two night stay in July and found it to be a wonderful experience. Tom and Marese were great hosts who were helpful in every way. The food was good, the room was not the most elegant we have stayed in, but it was quite adequate. The best part of our stay was spending time talking with Tom... More

Very friendly and helpful hosts... lovely lovely people. Twin room was certainly very comfortable and spotlessly clean but quite small (fine for short stay though). It was a lovely touch having access to a very well equipped visitor kitchen (and sitting room), but it would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facility in our room too. Overall, we were... Don't get me wrong, this place wasn't terrible, just not what we expected. The host was great, but we were hoping for a little more. It was like someone bought a house, turned it into a B & B a few years later, and was just a little plain. The room we originally were offered was right on the main... More

We stayed one night in August. Had one twin and one double room. Both rooms were beautifully decorated and really nice and clean. The house is 2 min drive from the centre of Killarney. Since it is close to the main road (to Cork) it is a bit load but if you get a room from at the back of... More

The hosts, Tom and Marese, were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Due to problems with our air travel we arrived very late on our first night. Marese recommended a restaurant and called to make sure it was still open then arranged for a taxi. The restaurant was good too btw! More

The Cillcearn House in Killarney operated by Marese and Tom Kearney is simply an outstanding B&B experience. Marese, Tom and their children are very friendly, welcoming, informative, and accomodating but not at all intrusive. The rooms are extremely clean, roomy and comfortable and all come with a TV and private bath. It is located a comfortable 20 minute walk from... More

We stayed three nights and the atmosphere is just terrific! You really do feel like apart of the family! Tom also gave us some great advice on which peninsula to visit and how to get there. The food is great as well and the rooms are just as awesome. If you really want a real B & B experience, you... More

During an eight-day trip touring seven cities in Ireland, this was the best place we stayed, by far. While not super close to the main town of Killarney, the service and comforts you get at Cillcearn House far outweigh that little imperfection. And realistically, it's close enough to walk if you don't mind walking. The owners were FANTASTIC. They were... More
