Very good location for exploring the Gap of Dunloe and Macgillicuddy Reeks. About a 2 minute drive to Kate Kearny's, the start of the Gap of Dunloe. About a 5 minute drive to trail for Carrauntoohil, highest peak in Ireland. Good value for money (30 pps), the breakfast alone was worth at least 15-20 euros. Rooms and amenities were good.... More

A very nice B & B just at the entry of the Gap of Dunloe. For walkers, no need a car, the B & B is hardly at 1.5 km from Kate Kearney's cottage and all touristic attractions of the Gap. Dinners are assured there or in Beaufort bar-restaurant. The B&B may also be the departure of nice walks all... More

Theresa greeted us with a nice cup of tea and home made apple pie. The double room was clean and comfortable, and we returned from an evening drive to find the electric blanket switched on, a kind thought. Breakfast was excellent and the wifi useful. We stayed a second night, and would certainly book again.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The lady of the house gave us a warm welcome on arrival and made us feel right at home. Our room was extremely clean, which is very important to me and was also comfortable with a modern t.v. to watch. Theresa was most helpful and provided us with tonnes of information and recommendations... More

When we arrived after a long journey Theresa greeted us with a nice hot cup of tea and a home made scone. Our rooms were clean, tidy and cosy with clean sheets and towels. That evening Theresa kindly drove us to a nearby resturant for our evening dinner, prior to this. and before it got too dark she took us... More

Very pleasant proprietress, excellent location and clean room. Very nice for a non-ensuite. My only complaint was the strong smell of cigarette-smoke that emanated from the living room at the opposite end of the hall. This was very unpleasant during the quite tasty breakfast. Although no smell was present in the bedroom, the wifi did not reach there so one... More

My partner and I were travelling Europe recently, with no plans or reservations made. We were recommended to see the amazing "Gap Of Dunloe" while in Killarney, so we booked in to "Wayside" b+b and I didn't want to leave. Theresa the host greeted us like we were family. Her home is so beautiful and comfortable, exactly what we needed after our day... More

The location was the reason myself and my partner stayed here. When we checked in Theresa was very helpful and gave us loads of information on the area. The bed and breakfast is literally at the doorstep of the Gap of Dunloe and myself and my partner had a great place to come back to in the evening after our... More
