Call ahead to get good directions as the Garmin got us near, but needed local assistance to find the house (that and a local soccer/football game with people parking ALL OVER made it hard to see the sign). Nice house, good breakfast, and Mrs O'Malley is a sweet lady.
This was the first B&B we stayed at in Ireland, and Norma was exceptional at making us feel welcome. Since we weren't seasoned travellers we asked her all sorts of dumb questions (like when we should tip and what is brown sauce), to which she answered so patiently and kindly. She was lovely representative of Irish hospitality.
What can I say? The woman who runs this B&B is so cute. Very nice lady and she truly does welcome her guests with coffee or tea and little baked goods on arrival. Excellent location - 5 minute walk to the Promenade with its beach, bars, restaurants, and amusements. 5 minute walk to bus stop and small grocery store. Doable walk into Galway. Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent Irish breakfast. Nora Omalley runs a wonderful B & B.
