I was especially moved to write a review after my stay last week. Myself and 3 of my work colleagues stayed in the hotel, and used a conference room in the morning. When we arrived we had full use of their lovely busy gym and dinner. The people in charge of the conference center couldn't been more helpful and accommodating.... More

When I arrived at the Carlton I was a bit confused as to where to park as the front car park was closed and I had to drive down a narrow road to find a carpark. There was also an ice rink set up in front of the hotel. When I got to reception I had to wait about five... More

My wife and I stayed last weekend with two other couples. With 6 people staying you would expect to have some problem but no. we could have had no complaints from the time of booking right through to the final payment. The rooms, food and staff could not have been better. Thanks again. More

Just had a wonderful weekend in the Carlton. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. Staff throughout all departments were very friendly & helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. We had a beautiful meal on Friday night and it was very reasonable - €55 for 2 courses for 2 people including a bottle of house wine! Choice... More

Stayed at this hotel for 49 euro pp which included b&b and evening dinner so wasn't expecting a lot. Well I was wrong . The rooms are ok and the pool is lovely especially in evening with underwater lighting . The bar was great with plenty of sport on large screens . As for the dinner in Reuben's restaurant ...... I've stayed in this hotel frequently for work since before it was a Carlton (having been a Days and previously a Ryan) Fine hotel, a bit overly large (you may have to walk five minutes or more to you room from reception) and there is the (what appears to be) derelict hulk of the original 1960s hotel sitting in the... This review is only of the bar food & lobby/reception area of this hotel. Recently visited this hotel- 10/1/11, for meetings. Arrived at 10.30am to be greeted by large marquee in car park- ice skating ring!! Lobby area of hotel is dark & shabby. In one corner there is closed down shop, lobby tables not being serviced & dirty glasses... More

We got a good deal on this hotel so assumed, it being a Carlton, it would be high quality. The rooms were quite tired looking. The one thing that stood out to me was that the kettle had mould in it and when they brought a replacement it had mould in it too!! Having said that, we had a terrific... More

Dear Guest, I was very sorry to read that the kettles supplied to you in your bedroom were not to our usual very high standard of hygiene. This is certainly not acceptable and I have of course shared your feedback with our Accommdation Team to ensure that this does not happen again. We would usually received excellent feedback regarding the... More
