Stayed here with a work colleague. Location is excellent as the hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the main shopping and nightlife area. Hotel itself is good value for the money they are charging. Rooms are not massive but beds are good and bathrooms are clean & well maintained. Did not dine in the restaurant but the breakfast buffet... more

I chose this hotel because if its location. I was taking part in an event in Galway city centre on a Sunday morning. Staying here the night before was a big mistake. I requested a quiet room when making the internet booking. Having gone to bed early on the Satruday night, we were woken up at 3am by an obviously... more

Stayed in Galway for a week during a conference for work and was traveling with my wife. We had a standard double room. The hotel staff were very outgoing and helpful. Everyone was very nice to deal with and the hotel gladly stored our baggage and made a room available prior to normal check in following our arrival on an... more

This hotel is centrally located, about 5-10 minutes maximum walk to central galway city. Our bedroom was small but fine although you can most definately hear your hotel neighbours. The walls are not sound proof! From what we could hear, we had a singing boy band or most likely stag party staying in the room next to us. It was... more

The Harbour Hotel is in a reasonably good location, about five minutes from the centre of Galway (Eyre Square, Quay St), but oh the noise! (1) the noise of the (sometimes heavy duty) traffic going past all night (2) the noise of the people going out for a cigarette and talking loudly from the bar until all hours (3) the... more

This was the third time we have stayed at the "Harbour". We requested a rear facing room as the last time we faced the road and you could hear the traffic. Discover Ireland had a deal with 2 nights & 1 dinner @ 99 euro p/p for two nights. The breakfast had a wide choice including fresh fruits with strawberrys,... more

The hotel is located on the edge of Galway city centre, with a 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants. The rooms very large and comfortable. Internet access was available but you needed your own keyboard. Breakfast was good but as coach parties use the hotel they had run out of several items when we arrived. The pictures of... more

Dear CMB58, Thank you for posting your review on TripAdvisor. I really appreciate the candid feedback. I'm sorry that there was difficulty in accessign the internet. We have a free terminal directly outside the elevators exclusively for the use of our guests. Alternatively, there is free wi-fi for the rooms, but the use of your own laptop is not essential....

Not the best hotel, you can walk to the Midieval section which was very nice. Small, hot room. more

Dear jvi53, I am sorry to hear that your short one night stopover wasn't to your pleasing. Typically, our feedback from coach parties is that we are so flexible and accommodating in comparisson to other hotels on their itinerary. It's a pity that you didn't have the same experience. Based in New York, it's unlikely that we will be seeing...

very disappointed in location right across from docks. Very noisy in the morning with all the trucks going to docks. We had booked a superior room and I had no complaints except for the Bathroom. It was in a very poor condition broken tiles and the one thing I love about a weekend away is a nice bubble bath with... more

Dear 1965charlie, I'm delighted to hear that the service and food at the hotel were to your liking. Our team work very hard to connect with all of our guests and to make you feel right at home from the outset. Our location is normally a strong positive for our guests and it is unusual to have complaints about traffic...
