Trip - Sept 2012. Solo 30yr old woman traveler. Travel by public transit only. I decided to stay in Dun Laoghaire when visiting Dublin and I'm very glad I made that choice. Windsor Lodge was within easy walking distance from a DART station (less than 5 minutes). The DART ride was ~20 min to Dublin. Windsor was on a very... More

I booked 3 Austrian visitors into Windsor Lodge so that they could enjoy their short stay in Dublin, in this quiet neighbourhood, with easy access to the DART light rail system to the city centre, and walks on the seafront and Dun Laoghaire pier. They were not disappointed. The Aircoach from Dublin airport leaves guests close by, with about a... More

I spent 1 night in the Windsor Lodge this week. At 70 euro for a double room with breakfast it was good value. The owners are welcoming and the room was large and bright. My booking showed a twin room but the beds were pushed together - this was no problem as I was sharing with my daughter.Very clean room... More

We stayed at Windsor Lodge for one night whilst waiting for the ferry to return to England. It was a perfect place to stay for that -- very close to the port, in a nice neighbourhood, with comfortable room and a very good breakfast. Tony and Mary were very welcoming. We went for a pleasant walk on the seaside nearby... More

After my husband and I checked in to the Windsor Lodge, we took the car back to the airport and then took the DART back. By the time we got back to the B and B, it was late, dark, rainy, and windy, and we hadn't had dinner. Mary was so absolutely wonderful in calling restaurants to see if anything... More

Traveled to Ireland for 11 days with my wife and we booked only 2 B&B's in advance, with Windsor Lodge being the first for the first two nights. Arrived in Dublin airport and then drove to Newgrange. Left there and headed to Windsor Lodge. A big plus for me was that they had parking. I was unsure how easily I'd... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Windsor Lodge B&B for 2 nights. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is close to the harbor as well as public transportation if you want to go into Dublin or other nearby places. Mary, the owner, is a pleasant and high energy hostess who could alsways take a moment to answer our... More

If you want a place that is quiet, with very easy access to Dublin on the DART and with the sea and many great restaurants close by then Windsor Lodge is for you. If you had your 'Hotel Inspector' hat on then you will find enough to keep you occupied: there are a number of could do betters but that's... More

My wife and I stayed at the Windsor Lodge for two nights as our final place of our three weeks in Ireland before flying out of Dublin Airport. We really enjoyed its location - only a block from the waterfront and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Dun Laoghaire - as well as only being a couple... More

I have just attended a conference in the CCD in Dublin and opted for a stay in quiet Dun Laighoire. I received a lovely welcome from the owner of Windsor Lodge, Mary, and continued to stay very comfortably there for a week. Just a 20min train ride to Dublin is less than a minutes walk to the train station. Close... More
