We were fans from the moment we were greeted at the door on our arrival...'You must be the Canadian ladies!" We felt welcome and comfortable right away. The room was fine, beds were great, the TV was a bit of an issue, but who needs it, right? The garden was wonderful for our tea at the end of a sunny... more

I travel to Dublin every few years with my mum who is a Dubliner so that she can touch base and get back to her roots. All the family are now in the UK so in the past we have stayed in city centre hotels and had a reasonable but pricey experience. However now we will never stay anywhere except... more

Bernadette and Padraig treat you like friends who have come to visit. Their home is beautiful. I loved having breakfast in the sunny front room. Breakfast was perfect. My daughter and I both declared Bernadette the winner of our informal scone judging! Wonderful price for so close and easy to the city. We were given bus information that worked perfectly.... more

Azalea Lodge is just north of Dublin's city center. It's close enough to walk or catch a bus or taxi, yet far enough away that you can have a quiet rest too. Bernadette and Padraig are gracious hosts and made sure we were well taken care of. The breakfast is good and made to order. The rooms were spotless. I... more

Azalea Lodge is located on a street with a lot of other B&B's. City busses stop nearby and there are a few restaurants within easy walking distance. Hosts are very helpful and breakfast can be anything from fresh fruit and yogurt to a full Irish breakfast. Taxi fare from airport to Azalea Lodge is very reasonable and is a better... more

Stayed on May 7th and 8th. Azalea Lodge was our very first bed and breakfast experience in Ireland and it set a high standard for the remainder of our trip. We booked this b & b based on the high reviews on TripAdvisor, and we weren't disappointed. Bernadette and Padraig were very personable and helped with the questions we had... more

We loved Dublin and all the history it has to offer. Azalea lodge truly became our home away from home. We were staying at Azalea Lodge during the volcano crisis. We cannot say enough about the hospitality that was extended to our family from Bernadette & Padraig. They went above and beyond to accommodate our family and make us feel... more

Cozy, comfortable and excellent service. Wonderful breakfast, homemade scones and jam so tasty!! Nice and warm. Perfect transportation with the bus right outside guesthouse. We didn´t want to leave for Stockholm. We will choose Azelea for our next trip too! more

We planned a 10 trip to Irelande and Dublin was our first stop. We went right from the airport by taxi to The Azalea Lodge, where Bernadette was waiting for us with scones and coffee (we could have had tea as well!). There is a reason this B&B is rated #1: Service and cleanliness and comfortable beds. After we got settled,... more

I'm a little late in posting this review... We started and finished our two week tour of Southern Ireland in Dublin... staying at Azalea both times. Azalea is an easy 15-20 minute drive from the airport (a GPS helps though!). Once you arrive, you can park the car on a side street (free!) and get about using Dublin's excellent public... more
